Yes they are but it gets a little nerve racking when you have to drill into the underside of the hood.

I haven't put mine on yet, but the full color instructions that came with it are very detailed. I have no doubts I can do it myself.

What he said. I wrapped my drill bit with a bunch of electrical tape so once the drill penetrates, it doesnt go right throught and put a dent in the top of the hood. Also, before installing the rivets, I used some touchup paint to paint the bare metal and once it was all installed, I shot the drilled areas with WD40 rust prevention. I still shoot some every few months, that reminds me, I should do it again today. One of my more useful mods and DEFINITELY would do it again!

Oh, and measure, measure and measure again! And when you are ready to drill, measure one more time for good measure! :yay:

The instructions are very clear and accurate. Installation is easy if you can follow directions.

If you remove the Redline Tuning sticker and put on a Toyota one, it looks like it came from the factory that way. Only issue I have is when I need to clean the cowl area in the middle, its hard to reach from the sides. I am short with short arms... I use my ladder and lean in from the front, when the engine is cold, that is.

Alaskan Malamute Fur and a plethora of mods... because ...
Great mod. Like everyone else said ... take your time. Slight suggestion, drill one hole at a time after you drill / Rivet one and then drill through the other hole.

Ive had mine on for 5 years and no issues.
If you ever get the wont stay up or they start squeaking, just cycle them a bunch of times by lifting and dropping your hood and everything will be great. I do not spend as much time under the hood as I once did. Redline was super helpful

I have the black ones and they work just as well as the stainless steel ones.

How is the gap between the hood and fender with the hood shut? Some vehicles have issues after installing aftermarket hood struts, not allowing the hood to sit all the way down in the rear.
