Just wanted to make a note that at Costco (San Marcos) the price of Regular was $3.059/ gallon.

My low fuel light had just come on about 3-4 miles before arriving, the truck took on 17.76 gallons (which means there was about 3.5 gallons in the tank when the light came on).

I traveled 255.3 miles per the trip odometer since the last fill up but corrected for my 265/75-16 tires (~2.5% slow) = 262 miles.

The true gas mileage this tank was a disappointing 14.8 mpg (highway and around town driving). I usually get 16 mpg with the combined driving I did... ??

    2010 DC 4WD V-6 Automatic with 118,000 miles.

sounds about right for gas prices.... the rest of the country that bitches about gas prices, come out to CA, especially socal.

also... OP the 265/75r16s are 3.4% bigger so its 255.3 * 1.034 = 263.98 miles. Still though, if those are load range E tires... and lots of round town, sounds about right.

lol ethanol free gas, must be nice, none of that here in socal unless its a special station and you are taking race gas at 8+ dollars a gallon.

That really sucks for you all. I hope with all the changes Colorado is going through, we get to keep our etoh free gas.

Just read the post of the guy getting only 7 mpg. I guess I shouldn't be too upset at getting twice that?

No, P-rated tires (All terrain) and more highway than in town.

Oh, 3.4% is it? When I drive by the mile markers.. It seems to be a mile slow every 40 miles? 40 x 2.5% = 1 mile. Maybe it was every 30 miles slow by 1 full mile? I need to dig up mile notes from that Arizona trip!!
