DNA motoring. Took a chance and so far seems pretty good. Might paint it with bedliner over their cost just as precaution and replace the hardware with stainless. Also going to get a big star wars decal to go over the wind deflector.

I would definitely do the coating and hardware ideas! The star wars decals = not so much. Lol

    Good Morning everyone

Morning folks! @jpereira2 , most certainly do the coating and the change of hardware. I wish I did it with my basket. I did change the hardware but didnt think about the coating. If you do have it on your truck all the time though you will get annoyed with the wind noise and lack of mpg no matter how good the wind deflector is. Morning rob @mach1man001 ! Any good wheeling trips being planned soon?

Got my new set! The white drill I've had for a long time, but since it's an LXT it takes the same batteries. I'd like to pick up the 1/2" impact and another battery or two eventually, but this is most of what I'll use for now. I think it was a pretty good deal for $400.

    MPG? What's that?

   *Cries in 10mpg*

I've got the impact driver, drill, and sawzall and I love them all. I need to pick up the grinder as well. The 5ah batteries are awesome, I'll probably pick up another couple.

That light seems like overkill, but I also kind of want...

I figure if nothing else, the light gives me a way to still use my old and tired 1.5 ah battery. It's a little weak in a drill at this point, but I'm sure it'll run a light just fine for quite a while.

This kit came with 4.0ah batteries. I'm actually kind of thinking about a Makita weedwacker and found one that comes with two 5.0 batteries and the double charger. I have a 32cc Craftsman that's awful. I put a new carburetor on it but it still doesn't act right. Once it warms up, I can't get it started again if I shut it off or stall it--I have to wait for it to be totally cold.

Unless you're using the trim saw, a 4AH battery will last a good long time. The three that you've got should be plenty, honestly. I can use my drill pretty much forever before the battery goes down. This spring I built two complete picnic tables (predrilling/countersinking and then sinking the screws) and it only dropped the battery 1 bar on the indicator.

We had a Makita cordless for tapping maple trees when I was growing up, that I think was all of 9 or 10 volts. We had 4 batteries and two chargers, and me and my brother were tasked with running the dead batteries back up the hill to the house to charge and bringing the fully charged ones back down to my Dad while he tapped. Each battery was only good for something like 40-50 taps before it was pooched, and they do around 1100 taps in a season. He bought a DeWalt cordless for the maple business a couple of years ago and now he can do the entire maple orchard on two batteries. For anybody who remembers using the old ni-cad batteries from the 90's, these new lithium batteries are like going from low-pressure atmospheric steam power to nuclear

I just removed mine this winter, is it important when the weather warms up, I saw a lot of heat shielding on the body above it? Should I try and remount it or just say good riddance?

    Thanks!
