I don't see a cause for you to do so. You would be chasing ghosts as of right now. I would however pull one of the valves off and inspect it just in case so you can see what the seal looks like. If it is starting to look all melted and destroyed then you have reason to be in a mild state of panic as the system is very finicky.

The two large aluminum electronic bypass valves on your passenger side valve cover.

So I just got a check engine code P2A03. Can't seem to find too much info on this here on TW. Some online searching leads me to believe this is an O2 sensor going bad. I've got the magnuson S/C with the bully dog tune (likely running rich). Only other mod is a snorkel. Anyone have seen this code? any ideas? are my cats going out?

 

No idea man. Is the truck running poorly? There has to be something regarding it. What scanner did you use? You may want to try global OBD instead.

Actually. I wonder if that is a P2193 which I believe is an oxygen sensor biased rich code. I could be way wrong though and it may not be a biased rich code at all, but it may still be O2 sensor.

 

I know it sounds lame, but I'm using the scanner built into my pioneer stereo. I just ordered a proper one from Amazon. Truck seems to be running ok (no hesitation or misfires). Pretty bad gas mileage from day one on SC (12mpg highway), but i'm also fairly loaded (armor, bumper, 33" tires, etc).

 

How much armor and how fast do you normally drive on the fwy? 12 mpg seems really bad to me. I average around 15.5 mpg driving like an arse hole and if I do 65/70 on the fwy I can get 17 mpg. I have front bumper, sliders, skids and 34” tires.

 

Yeah you definitely gotta get yourself a real scanner but it is likely an air fuel ratio sensor code. How many miles on it?

I get 12 myself. IF I'm lucky, MAYBE 13. Lol.

 

ARB bumper, steel skid plate, sliders, topper, bed slide, dynomat inside cab, 33" cooper ST max, 33gal gas tank. I'm at 5000' above sea level. Highway speeds around 80mph (speed limit). I'm looking at getting the OVtune. AFR gauge pending installs, since getting this code, probably this weekend. The problem is that if I'm running rich, I'm not sure what the fix would be. A smaller pulley? I had it dyno'ed after SC install; about 285hp
