Hey guys. Reading through the last few pages, looks like y’all’ve got a good group going here. I’m moving out to SLC from Nashville next week and couldn’t be more stoked. Also relatively new to the forum here and really 4x4 in general.

Bought the Truck back in July anticipating this move and have started to slowly learn more and get it built up for what I want to do with it.

First couple of things I’d like to do when I get to town is to look for a good local Fab shop for some Armor. (Sliders and potentially/eventually Skids)
I’m trying to do most of my own work, but sadly couldn’t bring my garage with me. Planning a suspension upgrade in the future due to added weight and don’t know if I’ll be able to accomplish that on my own. But build aside, I’m really looking forward to getting out and actually USING the truck. What sort of resources do you guys use to find drivable trails? Any plans for a meetup or a group ride this spring?

If you’re still in the market, I’ll be selling my PRO set up before too long. Love the shocks and honestly sad to part with them, but with the weight I’m planning on adding it looks to be necessary.

You can make a pit stop at RCI in Colorado and buy straight from their shop. I would call or email them first and see if they would allow you to do a pick up.

Clicked on the Vendor profile and it looks like they’re in Mi. Any local Fab shops? With this being such premium OR country I feel like there’s gotta be some sort of local business I can support

I’ll look and see what that adds to the trip. I’ll be pulling the truck behind me in a U-Haul for this one so the less time I have to do that the better.

Even better, you can just load up the armor in the bed of the truck and keep on driving.

Welcome!! I can’t help out with the fab shops. But you can definitely do the suspension upgrade yourself. With some beer and a few hours of work. To each is there own...I would do the lift first.

It’s not the work, and I’ll look for any excuse to crack a beer
I’ll just have to wait and see about having a good space to do the work in.

I here you there. Working in a garage is so much nicer. I’m hoping to be able to put one up next year.

Would have been pretty cool to wheel with you! We ended up doing Fins N Things and had a blast!

We'll be back next year for certain and we're planning on spending a lot more time in Moab. Hopefully I'll have the crawl box installed by then for Hell's Revenge and more. See you then!

I did not have much luck finding a local shop for sliders when i was looking, seemed like a lot of fabricators are east cost or California.

RCI would not be to far out of the way. Are you taking i-80 over? If you are taking I-80 check the weather they close it all the time if weather get bad.

    Not much stock left.
@BlueFox18, I would add a +1 for RCI’s armor. I have there sliders, skids front to back and there bed rack.

Noah does great work and is a fine guy to do business with. He's a great welder and nice all around guy that won't screw you around. He's done some welding on my rig and nobody touches my truck .....
