Hello guys, I have a 2017 Trd Pro Taco but today I parked uphill and when I went from N to D and the truck started going backwards (I had the foot break pressed when I switched) because I didn't step in the gas fast enough and made a loud noise and a yellow light came on. As soon as I heard it I stepped on the gas to accelerate. Has that ever happened to anyone ?

That is a feature. The truck senses the roll backwards in Drive and applies the ABS to reduce it. It’s called hill start assist. 100% normal, but alarming sounding.

My bosses Lexus does it too. Startling and annoying.

Same happened to me when I had to stop and apply the foot brake for about 15 seconds with the truck in "D" while on a steep uphill ramp in a parking garage (to wait for a fucker who didn't know how to park but was intent in backing into a parking spot at the top of the ramp).
Then when I took my foot off the brake and applied the gas, I got a loud, clunking noise and then I accelerated the truck up the ramp. Shit freaked me out.

Monument Valley, Forest Gump Point parking area. Tacos and their cool owners look the best there.

Apologies to OP as I hijack his thread. Figured it is solved already.

Passed this cyclist on the way from Mexican Hat. He turns up at the tent site at the Valley. From Germany. Started in Vancouver, cycled along the coast, turned east to Utah and northern AZ.

Said he was tired of cycling. Mimicking Forrest. Was going to finish in Las Vegas, take a train to San Diego and then fly to Hawaii.

I am a runner, hiker, cyclist as well. Glad I was in the truck.
