1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

5.25" drives were all but gone by the time I was old enough to use a computer myself. But i do remember using DOS and 3.5" floppies a bit.

 

Not if buy new

 

I do, I need to make a new box for those though. This one is tuned poorly

 

I mean thats what all those 3rd gen guys do

 

My first computer game as a kid was Treasure Mountain on a floppy disk that was as big as a dinner plate

 

A good box is hard to come buy. And takes alot of work to make one your self

 

I think the only thing i used a floppy for was to store essays in elementary school

 

Each one of these subs needs to be in a box with 3^3 of space. And a 12" port. I can build that but man is it gonna take a lot of space, so I want to make a sort of table out if it and make them down firing when I do it

That was what we had before the apple box that I hated haha no good games for it as a kid. It was all about the IBM's for games.

 

Just imagine having a beer on that table when the subs kicks on, gunna shock the beer and shoot it everywhere

Can't say for sure I just remember they were huge and weren't around for very long before they became much smaller discs. This was probably around 1993

 

1993 would have been 5.25" times. 1983 might have been 8" times haha.
