I just have internet, netflix, and Amazon prime is enough. I spend most of my inside entertainment playing computer games anyway.

No debating here! Last year I set my DVR, and told myself I'd watch it in the "morning"... I tossed in bed for about an hour, doubting the capability of my DVR and if it would even do it right....needless to say, I watched it live last year.

I have a 93 FXRS Harley Lowrider Convertible. I had a charging system issue, and finally tracked it down. Now my battery is shot, so I'm hoping this spring a new battery is all it needs. I haven't rode in 3 years, so I have come to the decision that if I don't ride it this year, I'm going to get rid of it.

This is the most frustrating thing I have dealt with to date. I switched to standard lugs, but require I thin wall socket. Eventually, I am switching to SCS spline. I don't like having to rely on a 3/8s thin walled socket to break lugs. Good Luck, but if you are somewhat close to a dealership they have their own to remove them. When mine broke theirs wouldn't take it off, so I ended up having to drill it out and put a new stud in. :frusty:

Everytime! This is exactly what happened to me. I needed an alignment, and figured what the hell might as well get the oil changed and tires rotated at the same time. 3 days and $200 later, I got a new stud and 24 hex nuts. Still not a great solution though. I'm going with spline eventually.

Is there a better solution than hex or spline. I just wish the holes in the wheel were big enough to allow an impact socket in. I'm sure there is a reason for it, but it surely isn't for ease of customer use.

Sorry for the string of replies, it has been about a week since I've been on.

Nice one. Yeah charging issues are a pain, my last bike was giving me trouble until I replaced the battery, stator, rectifier/regulator and corresponding connections to the wire harness. But it sounds like you're close to being road worthy so I say fix it sooner than later. Then you can get some riding in and still have plenty of time to sell it this year if that's what you decide.

Also was thinking since there are a few guys with bikes here maybe we could get together for a TW motorcycle ride.

I didn't have an issue with the spline either, it was the locking nut tool that failed. I did a little looking into this at one point and basically decided that gorilla or SCS spline were going to be my replacements. I just need to actually make that happen at some point. Or I should just order them and let them sit in the garage with all of my other mods at this point.

Damn  no shortage of reckless idiots out there! My wife used to work in northeast Philly and saw dirtbikes and quads ripping through the streets on a daily basis.

I do miss riding dirt - I had quads when I was living in NJ and there was tons of great trails with access right in my neighborhood. We'd also sneak into the sand pits and climb the huge ass hills, so much fun.

I have been down most of that with this bike. I replaced the voltage regulator last fall because the one reading was just out of spec. Once I replaced it I was back in spec, so I thought I had it fixed. Rode to work, and had to be jumped to get home. If it isn't just a battery the stator is the next and last thing on the list. If I get it going and ride, I won't sell it. I love it, but since it has been collecting dust for 3 years I'm evaluating whether it is worth keeping. I'd like a tractor or side by side to do my food plots, and selling it would really help with that. I've had it for 10 years now though, and still really enjoy it.

I love the idea of a TW ride. Unfortunately, it seems like most of the active people are from the other side of the state. There are a few from the west here though.

I hear ya - my line of thinking is even if I only get out a couple times a year it's worth owning a bike - registration/insurance are fairly cheap so cost of ownership isn't too bad. But either way you'll get more money out of it if it's in good running order.

You're right logistically it will be tough to get everyone together but would be fun. I'm usually a solo rider but ride with a couple friends once in a while.

I don't want to sell it. But if I come to that conclusion, you will be the first that I notify.
