Just suck it up and call pop a lock. It will be cheaper in the long run when you damage something trying to break in.

Do you have a rear slider window?

Top right corner of drivers door . Stick something thin in there and pry it open then stick something in there to give you a little gap . Then use a hanger or something to poke unlock button .

Easiest way into your truck. If you haven't installed a little bar for security the window is only held closed by a plastic latch. Most common way that this truck is broken into.

Trying to figure out how you can lock yourself out. I left my key (remote) in my backpack in the truck, got out and tried to lock the door with touching the handle and all it did was beep and not lock. Took me a couple tries to figure out my key was still inside. Grabbed my key and then it locked.

Yep, MT might be cheaper up front, but Toyota has ways of making you pay. Touch locks would be nice, as would a JBL option, although I'd never buy it.

She runs. What more can I ask for?
Sounds like a bad idea. I know for the 2nd gens at least, if anything on the rear window breaks (plastic latch, what have you), you have to replace the entire window.

BTW, before the flames, the most common way is to break glass of course.

My truck relocks itself if I unlock it and don't get in and drive. Seen a few tacoma owners get locked out this way. Get something out, lay keys down, go do something else..... blamo.

    Huh?
U mean once u open the door, it doesnt keep it from autolocking?
Thats stupid af and i hope im misunderstanding.

Say its locked.... Then u unlock it, get ur soda out of the truck, toss keys on seat. When u close the door it will autolock?

If my truck is locked, door is then unlocked and the door is not opened in approximately two minutes, it re-locks itself. Inconvenient as hell. Have not found an override. My truck will not lock with the fob inside.

If you have the time to wait this is clearly the best option. If not I think I'd go through the back window.

That makes sense coming from yrs of alarms to me... Its a safety thing in case ur distracted.

    Say ur trucks in driveway.
U go unlock/disarm it because u realize u left ur wallet in it. Before u get ur hand to the trucks door, ur house phone rings, and ur expecting an important call.
U turn around, answer the phone.
U never relocked ur door on the truck.

The autolock would have u covered and ur wallet secured in the locked truck.

I have adhd and surely would forget about it easliy
