I have techstream, and have looked around for a setting to change to fix this or turn it off. I have not found anything, but I am a techstream dummy.

She runs. What more can I ask for?
Look into a local locksmith. They're usually cheaper/faster and your insurance should reimburse you.

"although I'd never buy it"? Why would you say that? My touch locks and JBL system are great!

Touch locks, yes. JBL, no. I think for some, once they hear something better, systems like the OEM JBL wont cut it. For most its great, just not for me, its a personal taste thing.

Once you open the doors though, it won't re-lock itself. It only relocks if you press unlock and don't open any doors...

This is why I tape a spare key to a credit card I do not use and place in my wallet . So far I used it once. Works for me

Was going to chime in to say the same.

Locked > unlock and don’t open any doors > auto relock.

If you open and close the door after unlocking, it won’t relock. Don’t have to start the motor.

This is how it is on my normal keyed MT and any other Toyota/Lexus I’ve owned or driven.

On my '17 with the Entune premium, it is turned on and off by going into customize in settings on the radio. There are a lot of changes I can make like how long lights stay on after turning off truck, how the remote unlock button works, how lock work when shifting P>D or D>P, autolock on/off, etc. Don't know about the '18s or non-premium Entune. Check the separate manual for your radio.

careful with calling a "pop a lock guy" They'll quote you cheap and then send some "agent" they have on hire, he'll get there and claim "oh, this one is way harder than I thought, it'll be double." Even though you told them on the phone what type of vehicle. This happened to my brother at my house. They quoted 60 bucks on the phone, guy shows up says it was going to be 150 cause this one is harder than I thought, we said tough shit, we told you on the phone what type of car it was. Was a huge negotiating hassle. I basically told the guy to F off and leave, but my brother finally haggled a price closer, but it took a lot of haggling. Jerks. Not all, but this guy was.

Is SR has those flat keys? Cause I dont see how to tape a fob or SR5 style key to a credit card. I know I can tape it, but it won't fit into the wallet
