    Will a BFG 255/75/17 Load E - heavier than a 265/70/17 Load C?

    Here is what I see from tiresize.com (comparing C to C). I couldn't find an E 255 111/108S C BSW 32" 10" 6.5-8.5" 7" 15/32" C 2405/2205 lbs 50 psi 47.1 lbs 649 112/109S C RWL 31.6" 10.7" 7-8.5" 8" 15/32" C 2470/2270 lbs 50 psi 45.7 lbs 657

However, the BFGoodrich page has both of them at 45.XX lbs... a wash according to them.

    255/80/17 Cooper S/T Maxx mounted on @SCSPerformance Ray 10s.

    Front fender is trimmed 3"
    Rear fender is trimmed 1.5"
Lift is about 2.5" or so?

Going to have to come back and redo this picture when the new rear shocks get installed and I have someone spotting me up...

    I installed the Open Country R/T 255/80/17.

It rubs! Just a little, but I'm going to to lift. I have to do some research on a 2.5", that gives me acceptable off road performance.

How's the ride on those? Im in between the 255/80 Toyo or the 255/75 k02....

I have 265/70/17 toyos now and they have been great. Just mainly worried about having to go up to a load e tire

It rides great, almost no difference in performance and road noise. They look great also.

I just spent some time reading this entire thread, Surgery keeps me home for 2 weeks. I knew I was going to get 255's before I found it, had them on my 05 before. With my 18 the plan is to get th BP-51's and UCA but I keep seeing mixed posts about whether the stock OR wheels will clear. Back to the real thing. I can get TOYO MT's for roughly $500, set of 4. SKetchy on ice is what I have heard which is why I have not pulled the trigger. Before anyone asks this is in Germany and Euro cost for a set is 450.

I'm sure it's in here somewhere, but I didn't have time to read thru 82 pages of comments.... Has anybody tried putting a 255/85r16 on their spare and fit it back in the hole on a 3rd gen? I know you probably have to bend the brackets up there a little bit but how difficult was it? Getting ready to do this when my 5th tire gets here in the mail in a few days. Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure it will fit since it is a 33.1" tire, but you will have to bend the brackets to make it fit is all.

    I cannot confirm that though.

Thats what I figured. I'm assuming those brackets aren't too hard to bend out.

I'm running Sumitomo Encounter AT in 235/85/16 LT on the stock OR wheels. So far so good. Much better than the stock tires in snow.

    Info: http://www.sumitomotire.com/Tires?linename=ENCOUNTER AT

Available in LT and P-metric. Surprisingly inexpensive for a tire from a Japanese brand.

I've got 265/70/17 and 4Runner pro wheels and they look too small with a 3" lift. (BP-51)
This thread help me decide to go with KO2 34x10.5r17.
