    Being a 4x4 V6 with a locker it’s fairly safe to say I have 4.10 gears right?

Anyone know what the actual hauling capacity of a 97 3.4 5-speed Tacoma is? As in "all this stuff is piled in the bed, not on a trailer". I am not aware of which rating to look into .

Reason I ask is- I need to build a 8'X80' driveway. I know there are 45 each, 80# bags of Quikrete to the cubic yard. That's 3600 pounds. I am going to do this in 8X10 sections as it stands now. That's right at a cubic yard of concrete needed. You get a 30% discount on concrete if you purchase more than 42 bags at a time, so I'd like to get as much as possible. Minimum 45 bags. That's 1.8T. Can't help but think my truck isn't up to that task, MAYBE with airbags added to the suspension.

Make two trips. I can't imagine they won't let you have the discount if you haul half of it home, unload, and go right back and pick up the rest.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I will need to figure out a place to stage this stuff. I'm starting in the back yard (so I don't have to look at all my mistakes every day ;) ), and there is no way to safely get back there with the truck- so I will hae to have a pallet back there, hump each of these heavy sumbitches about 60 yards, and then re-palletize it.

Hey, I wanted to get into shape. It's going to hurt, but no pain, no gain, right?

    Wish I was 25 again!

EDIT: the real suck of it is, I will have to do this 8 times- though not all at once. I will eventually have 80' of 8' wide driveway running past my back yard fence and into said yard, so that will be good. But it's about $4500 I won't have to spend, and I could use the exercise.

Be sure to remind me of this when I'm bitching about how much I hurt....

Why not just reach out to a concrete supplier and see what it would cost to get a truck? That's like 8 CY if you are doing 4" thick. 12 CY if you are going 6". Around me its like $100-$120 a CY for a standard mix. Idk where you are out of and I know if you aren't close to a supplier its more costly.

For real I can’t imagine doing a whole driveway with sacrete that would be near impossible to manage to mix all of it up, unless you had some sort of mixer. The concrete would be setting up as you were pouring it. Even if you can’t get a concrete truck down to where your pouring you can always wheelbarrow or bucket it, which is a lot of exercise

I will use a mixer, obviously. Also a wheelbarrow. The mixer is portable, it won't be a long trip to get to where I need it to be. Time, I have. Exercise, I could use. I will be hitting the gym before I start this, but for multiple unrelated reasons.

As for the concrete, might just have them deliver it.

Probably something not fine, maybe I’ll take it apart when I find a donor.

Shouldn’t be too hard I hope.
