I don't get why you would post the cab size if you are selling a cap. :frusty:

Cab size does effect the front end shape of the cap, but the bed size should be listed as well.

I will defer to your expertise in both as I have none in cab or cap configurations but I find it hard to believe that Toyota would make the cap differently based on the type of cab it is. Seems the tooling changes for that would be inefficient and costly. That would definitely force cap manufacturers to follow suit too.

I know they are just stock photos on the Toyota website but if I overlay them in Photoshop they line up exactly. Only the windows or length changes.

I also went to the ARE website and you do have to list the cab type so I am apt to believe you. It's just dumb! And just one more thing I have to add to making it harder to find my used cap :frusty:

Rob, the difference is between access cab and regular cab in 2nd gens. Access cab and double cab are shaped the same in 2nd and 3rd gens respectively

I am definitely not disputing it but I just thought I remembered someone saying they were able to replace the rear portion of their cab because they creased it on a tree. I wasn't aware that the back quarter of the cab could be replaced. I just assumed since that was possible that they are all the same for all cab configurations and only the doors and roof are different.

Like I said, it pisses me off more than anything because now I have to make sure any cap I consider has to be a DCLB and nothing else!!!!!!!

A guy recently (within the past couple of days) posted a Leer plastidipped Inferno cap for a 3rd gen double cab. It was a short bed.

    Sooooo freaking close!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't fully clear over there... 3rd gens don't have regular cab configuration. It's only 2nd gen issues. So for you as long as it's a long bed 3rd gen, you're golden

Ah, yeah, I wasn't paying attention to the gen. I think you got the gist of it at this point though.

Lol I knew you’d call me out. Thanks again for meeting me buddy. Good times. But I think you should go for those 8112s, unless you already placed your order
