    That’s not why you were reply banned. Everyone who derailed because of a spelling mistake was reply banned from that thread. 7 people got reply banned and all the asshole posts deleted.

    Look at it this way. You join the site, brand new to trucks, off-roading, and winches, and you ask the populous for help as your very first post. And the replies instead are all about wenches and making fun of how you don’t know the difference between winch and wench. It was a genuine thread with genuine questions, not some random BS thread. Would you want to be part of that community?

    Just use some common sense. In here we all give each other shit because it’s a BS thread and most of us have actually met a lot of local members. But busting some new guy’s balls over a spelling mistake on his first post where he created his own thread, not exactly welcoming. Obviously we want TW to continue growing, and that’s not going to happen with current members scaring of new members with ridicule.
