    Same crap everyone else got
if it's just that corner bent in and no ripple in the frame or bent anywhere else, they should be able to put that on a rack and straighten it back out.

Nah just have them straighten it back out. It'll probably do another 200k miles.

Frame is pretty rusty, not sure if they can just straighten it back out without real issues

Here's a hhhhmmmmm consideration. Toyota will not give you a free frame on a salvage title truck. But..... if your frame has rust holes big enough to qualify for a frame, AND the insurance company wants to total your truck, what if you tell the insurance company Toyota is going to replace the frame and how about if you guys only pay for the body damage? This is way outside the box thinking, but if you can convince the insurance company that you are saving them a bunch of money, it might be possible to pull it off. Now, after the Toyota dealer sets the body on the new frame, the core support mount is not going to line up. Not sure what they are going to say about that. From there it would need to go to a body shop to get the rest done.

I doubt it would have been that bad without the damage multiplier

And it’s supercharged :annoyed: I hope it’s not a loss, but if it is I hope they compensate you for the SC as well...

Yeah if it wasn't for the supercharger, I would say let the insurance company total it. But with the supercharger, you have obviously spent a lot of money and effort to get the truck set up the way you want, and it's worth spending effort to keep it. Not suggesting that you should let them total it and buy it back though. Like I mentioned, that frame is HURT.

Yea in this case with all the things factored above that is the plan. Just doing a frame swap on a 10 year old rusty Tacoma would break stuff. If I didn't have welded sliders doubling the strength of the frame I would doubtfully be driving it.

That crossed my mind briefly but there's too many possible issues with having too many fingers in one honeypot. Usually if something goes wrong everyone points the finger at everyone else.

The welded sliders might be problematic when it comes to getting a frame replaced under warranty. I'm going to guess that the truck it totaled.

If they total it, pull your super charger off and replace it with a stock upper intake while you're "getting your stuff out of it"

Spoke to dealer. As long as the sliders didn't cause the rust it ok
