Appreciate it. Same to you @Mista_G . Like you said it would be nice to get 600s in a 15” length but 650s shall do I guess for now. If the ride gets more on the unpleasant stiff side, then I’ll have you guys reimburse me lol.

@state48overland - I'm about to install my parts this weekend and thought I'd bother ya one more time for more clarity. My goal is to end up with something between 2.5" - 3" lift, and as close to level as possible, with the following gear:

    - King 2.5 extended and 600 lb coils (w/adjusters)
    - NO added weight up front at this time!
    - Icon RXT Option 1 leaf springs in the rear (only +75 lbs rear bumper at this time)
    - Total Chaos UCAs

You advised me before that I should aim for 22.75" to 23" centerhub-to-fender measurements up front, so my question is this: Roughly how many threads should I expect to see on either side up front with these coils and no weight?

My plan is to achieve the above goal and then simply adjust/swap one item at a time as I add more weight throughout the next 12 months. As always, thank you for your help!

The nice part is that you have 600lb springs. You should have the adjuster tool/pin. It should be very easy to turn and make adjustments. Just make sure you have tires off the ground. Then spin the collar. I would install it first. Do a couple hard brakes. Settle the spring in. Then measure to see what you have. You’ll get close to an inch of lift with about 4-5 full turns. Use that as your guide.

To reach that target 22.75" - 23" range, roughly how many threads should I expect to see on either side up front with these 600 lb coils and no weight? I'm just trying to understand what "too much pre-load" would look like, in terms of the number of visible threads, and then avoid that at all costs.

I'd had set my driver side to 11 threads and passenger side to 9 threads. No metal bumper, no winch. 600 lbs. springs.

Good info! What lift heights (or measurements) did you end up with? Also, are you at all concerned with the fact that 9 or 11 threads are beyond the 8 that King recommends as maximum?

You will know what too much pre load sounds like first before what it looks like. You can target a total of 10/8 or 11/9 threads, each set up is a little different-because rear leafs pack set ups are different-and help spread some driver side weight, just test drive and settle them in with some good nose dives, then re measure...

Hey guys! I've followed this thread before, and even used some of the posts for help in getting this kit we just installed on this 2018 Tacoma so I figured I'd return the favor and post what we ended up with!
    2018 Tacoma TRD 4x4
    Here's what we installed:
King Suspension 2.5 w/resi and 600 lb springs
    Total Chaos UCA's
Toytec AAL in rear with axle shims
    Left stock overload in place
    Diff Drop
    17x9 Fuel Shok +1 offset
    285/70r17 Nitto Ridge Grappler
Ended up cranking the driver side to 12 threads showing and 10 for passenger side. Ended up with 2.75" of lift front and rear. 25" hub to fender on rear and a hair over 24" on front after lift.
Didn't have any rubbing. No trimming on plastic. No cutting on body mount.

Those numbers seem really high compared to most. What were your hub-to-fender measurements prior to the install? Did you measure from the center of the hub?

Truck looks great btw! Thank you for the info.

Thanks! Not my truck, just one I built for a guy, but hopefully I'll end up with something similar soon. Closer to 21" and 22" originally is what I was measuring. A good full 2.75" of lift.

Haven’t had it off road yet. On small road bumps it’s similar to stock. I took it down a gravel road at low speed at it was fantastic. I did hit a median straight on at 15 mph and it soaked it right up.

So, I was chasing a new knock and a weird noise, found what looks like sway bar rubbing against pass side reservoir bracket, and came across this!

I'm devastated! Well ok, maybe not that dramatic.... but I'm not happy at all

I don't know, they're not even one year old, and they're are not supposed to be weeping Icons Kings!
Driver side is completely dry, so I have that going for me! Lol

As for sway bar, I'll have to check /re-torque whichever bolts necessary

Not yet but my rear resis look like shit with some cracking surface (no, I didn't overtorque them) after a month of installation and less than 500 miles of beautiful California weather, no off roading at all. IMG_20190210_154456.jpg

Are you sure it’s just not grime? I get it all the time. Wipe it with a damp cloth and see if it goes away and there’s no “oil” wetness. Do you have a pic of the sway bar part? Sway bar is supposed to be lower and out of the way from the reservoir bracket unless you mean it’s mounted to the bracket and is rubbing a weird way
