Took me 6 hours to cut in the living room walls and put a second coat of paint on the trim today. My son came home at 3:30 and rolled the walls. Wish I was 50 again.

I don't know what hurts the most, my feet from going up and down the ladder to cut in the top half of the room or my knees from cutting in the bottom half of the room. It will be a 2 Advil night tonight. I will post up a few pics once we complete the room.

I bought knee pads but they were cumbersome so I used wife's garden kneeler. Temp was 80 yest. so we had A/C cranked up. Still sweated like the proverbial pig.

    Robert, I perspire easily too.

Once told someone that I only have one talent. He asked what it is. I replied "sweating". He asked how is that a talent?

My reply: it makes look like I am working hard when I am not

All the snow in Kalifornia, was wondering if anyone here in the mountains had a snow shovel disappear. Well, the radio had a story that one small town (that's all we have) in the county had a Caterpillar loader disappear the other night from a county works yard, headed south to Lake Tahoe direction per a camera. Most snow for February since records have been kept the last 70 some years.

Not to dismiss the weather discussion, but was wondering if anyone has some positive feedback on the Freemasons? Is it a worthy group to connect with as a guy over 60?

    Afternoon all:
I would say go for it! I have had several chances to "ask" to join, plus several of my ancestors were Masons as well as some of my current friends. I'm too much of a loner and really don't like to be part of a group, otherwise I think I would have joined a long time ago.
    All up to you!

Thanks, I may be the same as you... There is some family history and a quest for knowledge about the Golden Ratio, the numbers associated with Venus and all living things, etc. I am just a quest for knowledge kind of guy... Why I write about history down in Baja California, plus my books:

Probably a safe bet that if a county employee did not steal the loader they probably set up the theft.

Hope not, we are dependent on US taxpayers for funds for our schools and roads since we have a small tax base, beings most of the county is public land.

I hope not also but it has been my observation when it comes to big equipment theft it is usually an inside job and the person is caught. Hard to fool the PoPo.

They may be able to get more images from other traffic cams along the way if they went to I-80.

According to the radio, the loader that was stolen from our county was found along a road, did not catch where it was left. Good news. We should all feel sorry for the perps to fall in lock step with our new governor.

Carpet is being installed now. Living room is painted, windows are cleaned and the TV wall mount bracket is on the wall. Up next is mounting TV to bracket and installing all cables behind the wall. My son and I cut the drywall for the electric and TV cables this morning before the carpet installers came. No need for dry wall dust on the new carpet.

    Afternoon all:
Was picking up my normal mess of spring sticks in the yard, had to use the chainsaw to cut up part of a tree that came down in an opening just off the yard, first sweat of the year! Started the 66 and went to start the zero turn and it drained the battery, that's on charge now. Enough work for today, nap time!

The living room is finally at a place where the new surround sound system can be installed. I did install the TV wall mount bracket and prepped the drywall for the TV cable installation process.

    Good morning Susan, gang,
Guess my miles driven each year post retirement was way less than calculated when I was figuring if I would save money getting down to one vehicle, saving maintenance and insurance/registration fees. Did my calculating based on I think 18,000 miles a year, but only went a little over 7,000 last 12 months, so saving even more. Happy about that, just too bad I had to sell my nice Civic. With hardly going anywhere last year, my average per month is under 1,000 miles/month now. Had the truck 37 months.
