You're pulling out of selling your products for a while because of a chargeback? I'm not on the side of people screwing you like that at all. Those people should be fined and thrown in jail for stealing from you. But, there has to be a better way for you to resolve these issues. With how big you have grown and keep growing, fulfilling the needs of so many more people is obviously getting much more difficult. You're holding your business back instead of helping it grow bigger and bigger. I totally understand staying small (I'm a sole proprietor and refuse to hire anyone), but with the ridiculous demand you have for tunes thanks to Toyota's 3rd gen disaster, let it grow man! Hire help, catch up, profit even more.

I see that side of it, but I am also reading it (considering the edit) that the TW chargebacks are the reason. We're in a time-out until OVT can determine if it is worth it to continue.

Clearly, you haven’t been here very long.

Mat has made a great product with an extremely small team. Some of the old school dongle guys (including myself) know you mean well, but you’re coming off pretty harsh for being new to being OVTuned

My black and white terms are no refunds. However we know with individual situations, there are Grey areas

If it was 1 or 2, no problem. But it's multiple, weekly. All the time. Always tacoma. Each one hits me for an immediate penalty of nearly $1000 bucks for 90 days, regardless of any evidence, etc.

And after a certain threshold my payment processor starts holding payments, etc.

Until we can get a better handle on things I've got no choice

Pulling it off the shelf would help you concentrate on your fixes and tuning. All these people expecting perfect tune right out the box (smh). @OVTune you should only accept payment via friends and family PayPal. Hehehe.

    Note a bad idea there!

It would have screwed me though, because I used PP Credit with 6mo SAC for my kit. Very understandible considering the weenies out there.

First of all I am an honest person and would never do that. Second of all, just because I haven't been a keyboard warrior like yourself, don't judge. Get off your high horse and take your attitude elsewhere. I don't appreciate when I spend 750 dollars on a product from any business and the owner gets on a public forum and curses at his own customers. Regardless whether they are new or old customers. This is his business and he can choose to run it how he wishes, but he obviously has some efficiency/productivity issues. If you can't support new/old customers within a timely manner I totally understand why some folks might be upset. 750 is a lot of money.

I wasn't going to post this, but now I feel like it needs to be. I chose to sell my tune. Not because it didn't improve the driving, because of the owners lack of attention to issues, fix in a timely manner, and the constant bitching on this forum about new customers. I am not going to support a business owner that chooses to act in this manner. Personal preference. In regards to the attention to detail, my misfire count doubled after the supposed misfire "fix". I am done. I have submitted tickets and have gotten "were testing and fixing this" type of response, and then crickets. The latest 1.05 base tune was suppose to fix the misfires and it doubled them. Also, don't give me the "it does it on stock too" BS. I have some misfires on stock but a 1/5 of them stock vs. tune. I have been logging religiously for the last 2 months in order to compare normal 1.05 vs stock. Nothing against him personally, but this business model - sucks. Get help, whatever, but this is not a business I will be promoting or purchasing from again.

BTW this was from a 5 mile drive. Ridiculous.

Also @SpeySquatch I have been on the forums reading a lot, just not posting. Check out your join date vs mine. You just feel the need to post every 5 mins dude. Check your facts before posting. Don't pretend to know me, because my post count is not higher than yours.

Contrary to popular belief, the customer is NOT always right

It’s been said hundreds of times now, fixes take time. If any part of this was simple, quick or easy - toyota would have gotten it right from the start. But they didn’t.

This isn’t for everyone. A few bad apples are doing a good job of ruining it for everyone.

Can relate with you on this. Hate impatience customers. Side note, flashed 0461 AT performance, truck is so much more enjoyable to drive.

Agree the customer is not always right. However, as a business owner, out of all the places you can vent your frustrations, you choose to do so on a public forum where future customers are going to come and read about your product? I agree fixes take time, I sent my mis-fire data into Mat back at the end of January and volunteered to help out in anyway.

Then Mat states "- Regarding misfires.
I Have made changes to valve timing and ignition timing and have verified, with included log data images on post 1, that our test truck does not receive, under any conditions, any out of the ordinary amount of misfires in a driving cycle cold or hot."

... and mine double. Normally I log a 20 mile drive, in this particular drive it was 57 misfires in a 5 mile drive. Not sure how much time needs to pass from reporting the issue to a fix, but when they say it has been addressed and then gets even worse? Would also like to add nothing was updated on my ticket or an e-mail sent back to me to let me know that a fix was on the way. Look it is nothing personal against Mat, it is simply me not choosing to do business with this company.

I can understand your frustration with the misfires. But the fact remains that there are issues on the stock tune / stock trucks that do not show up on all of them. How else would we explain 20..30..40+ misfires on bone stock trucks? Or the shuddering issue on stock trucks (that toyota released a fix for but still does it on some?).

I am actually not bitching any any specific person, old or new customers at all. I am simply asking the same thing I've been. If anyone has problems, talk to me. I will do my best to get back to as soon as possible. Throwing chargebacks our way all the time makes me get frustrated, because it will literally end my business.
I really don't think I ask too much of people, read our instructions, ask us for help through proper channels, and that's it really.

The misfire problem, not an easy of fast solution. I've stared at the code until my eyes have bled. I've contacted Toyota directly about it. I've contacted Toyotas calibration department. I've asked outside companies to search the code for bugs, at my own expensive of several thousands of dollars. But it is one of those problems that only exist on some trucks.

Then don't do business with us. But don't try to say we're not doing anything simply because we haven't fixed your problem. That fix that did not work for you worked for many others.

And yes.. I posted / vented about it on this forum people this is where everyone comes. It's why I post general updates and timelines of what we are doing. I simply ask people for a little patience, I'm in the middle of preparing for my second Child while pushing suppliers as fast as possible, and I tell everyone this, all the time. Multiple times a week. And then I get chargebacks against me anyway all the time. What am I suppose to do?
I'll just sit back in robot mode and accept it while my payment processor bans us and I go out of business. Ok.
