Horn stops working while driving only!

    What's the deal with the horn? It seems to be only when the car is not in park the horn stops working.

    Nobody knows "what's the deal" with YOUR horn. Probably nothing to do with park. Spiral cable may be broken? To test, see if turning the steering wheel changes whether or not it works.

    There is a recall on the horn ,take it in to the dealer they'll fix it free

    No I don't I had went to the dealer while back ,I don't remember why but while I was there I told them about the horn,the Toyota guy told me that there was a recall on them I think the spiral cable and said they'll fix it free so we had set up an appointment then and my horn works

    Oh, I think I know the recall you're talking about then. It only applies to units manufactured up to the end of 2010.

    My Tacoma is a 12 I'm guessing goes up to15? My inlaws has a 14 and hes horn is out ,he took it in to dealer and they fix it

    You might want to try take your truck in to dealers or call around ask about it the horn

    Pretty sure that either your dealer scammed the recall, made an error and applied it without checking if it actually applied, or did it under general warranty work. The spiral cable recall actually ends a year *earlier* than I indicated, 2010 model year manufactured no later than end of 2009.

    Hmmm guess we're lucky they did the warranty..
    I'll look fr receipt of the warranty work
