    Curious to see if there is anyone here that has had their supercharger ported.
    Intake and output sections ported out larger for more air flow.
    I’m curious to know what results and if there are any issues they ran into.

    I’m thinking of having my supercharger ported maybe in a few months

    UPDATE
    Well got my supercharger rebuilt and ported intake and output sections a few months ago 5,000 miles ago.

    The superchargers total power range comes on stronger and smoother now with new added horse power.

    2 weeks ago I Did a full timing service and the battery was disconnected so the ECU was reset.

    Apparently I should have reset the ECU after the porting. With the porting done and the ECU reset more power is there. Didn’t know this.

    So far a happy camper with the new power band.
    Super happy with this upgrade.

    4th gen T4R with a few mods
    You should really reset the ECU after any kind of performance work on the engine. Even plugs and wires change will give the ECU different readings so it would benefit from a reset.

    Porting the supercharger opens up the airway for more air flow
    less restrictive air so my boost actually stayed the same maybe a hair less
    but more air is being pumped through creating more power.

    So I’m getting more air and more timing, less heat,
    Probably gained easily 15 more horses.

    I have to dyno it again now that the ECU has been reset.

    Ohh and the horse power band actually jumps up a bunch at 4000 rpms up to redline were as before it was a bit flat. So you have a new section of power.

    Only Running the snow methonal kit. It covers all the lean issues and other problems. So you don’t need to replace the fuel pump or injectors or a piggy back
    system for me at 6000 feet anyways,
    And I can run a 2 inch pulley

    Also Just got my throttle body back yesterday from maxbore.
    Was bored and new butterfly for a perfect tight fit and ultrasonic cleaning for $125

    Unfortunately I don’t think I can get my TB bored because it’s electronic. However, I called someone about a port on the 2nd gen black SC. It can be done. But I may pick up a first gen if I find a really good deal on one.

    I was quoted $1695 to port and rebuild the 2nd gen blower last year.

    You bet, porting the 1st gen by Highspeedlap was 300.00 or so, intake and output sections.

    But it’s best to port it when it’s time to do a rebuild has everything has to come off and be taken apart

    I should have been a little more clear. I was referring to the 2nd gen 3.4l supercharger. It’s all one piece like the one for the 4.0.

    But it’s can be done. On both the intake and exhaust of the supercharger it seems. stiegemeier Has a video on their Instagram of their “stage 8” port of a Ford Focus supercharger which is all one piece.

    TRD S/C, ADS coilovers.
    One thing the 4.0 has the 3.4 doesn’t is a air to water cooler. TRD/Magnuson half assed the 3.4l setup. But it’s the best we got besides turbo, which is way cheaper if you put it together yourself. I need weekend bolt ons though.

    Yeah, the cooling is hugely required. My friend had a s/c first gen and had the 7th injector. I was always impressed with the quickness of his truck. When I was stock+supercharger and 33" tires, he walked on me in a very straight up way. I've never really gotten over it :anonymous:
