Irritates me to no end. It doesn't matter that they sell or that the buyer doesn't know anything about trucks. It's greed by the dealer plain and simple. They are marking up a Tacoma! So the poor buyer will owe much more than the truck is worth and the dealer profits.

Dealers like these will lose my business forever.

I have the T/X Baja. They “wanted” $39 for it. I actually walked out less than what I would have paid for the OR.

Thanks! I'm just over the dealer tricks. Especially in this day and age where customers go in much better armed.

I'm just of a mind that if you treat a customer right they'll be a customer for life.

That kind of reminds me of when I was shopping for my current OR. I was in Culpeper and they had two used cement Pros on the lot, one with 5K miles and AT, the other with 12K miles and MT. I was actually pricing out an OR and had them run the numbers on the MT Pro since they said they could make me a killer deal because used/miles. Yeah right. Their "deal" was to sell me the used truck at the original MSRP. What a fucking joke this TRD Pro pricing scheme is at all these dealerships.

I wish I had a bargaining chip with my olds truck but it had frame damage I didn’t realize it would be so hard to get rid of.

I privately sold my 2nd gen. Took it to 3 dealers for appraisal. Only 1 said i had frame damage, but couldn't show me where. They all offered me around 7k on trade in. So i did the smart thing and sold it for around 10k

Right? I don't get it other than outright greed. Just wait for the shit-show that we are about to see with that new Jeep pickup.

Well I’ve also bought 5 new Toyota’s from the same dealership and the same salesman. Except for tonight. I was just dropping off a buddy to get his truck. I normally don’t stop and get out. Because that’s when they come out to say hi. How are you. I’m sorry. Did I have come talk to me on my forehead.

That's the only way Tesla would get my money...if it came with a free pooch.
