Even if it’s a v8 it should stay quiet.

Super car? Highly tuned race engine? Ok, yeah, make it scream.

Your shitbox stock coyote mustang or z71 Chevy? Nah, that’s a no from me dawg.

Actually I really like the sound of your run of the mill Chevy V8. Nice and quiet at idle and cruise, and roar when you step on it

Engines make noise. This is unavoidable. Stock exhausts are tuned to be non-obnoxious with a well put-together tone.

    Aftermarket... not so much.

I have a flow master all stock piping. It’s quite but when I get on it you can hear it. Going through the gears it sounds nice. Trucks a manual.

I got a good deal on a used JBA catback. I like the sound and it doesn’t drone at highway speeds. For $160 it was worth it for me.

gotta admit i played that vid clip expecting it to sound like meh, but wasnt half bad for a v6. A few 6's sound good; vr6 in vw, some of the porsche flat 6's

had a 4.2 v8 audi years ago with a full non resonated exhaust + downpipes. Miss that sound. No 6 can really compare with an 8, but that doesnt mean they cant be nice

I’m into trucks more than cars. I would say if you’ve got a lifted v8 truck with oversized tires it’s almost unwritten man law that it should sound nice and mean (outside not inside) But if you’ve got something like a v8 sequoia or a v8 4runner and it sounds burly, it really just ends up being cheesy and makes me want to:puke:

LOL. Yeah the neon green lifted Chevy full size taking up the whole lane with stanced wheels and a 10” lift really needs a fake exhaust to make sure people are aware of its presence.

Please god no don't do it. The 4.0 is a workman V6 with a terrible sound on a Japanese truck. Its unrefined and noisy but gets the job done. Its one of the most reliable engines out there but also one of the worst sounding (I'll vote the Raptor's EcoBoost V6 is right there as well).

    Eligible for exhaust: flat 6 (excluding subaru), inline 6, v8, v10, v12

Rotaries give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside :goingcrazy: Wether the 4.0's sounds good or not I don't want my off road vehicle sounding like a prius
