i was sketched out about the oven too, i used a heat gun and it came apart fine. little tricky to get it started, but once the lense starts to come off your golden.

    Heat Oven 325 degrees.

Remove the 3 screws, bulbs, & plastic covers on the back of the headlights.

Turn off the OVEN and place the headlights inside. Cover the Clear Lens with a microfiber towel once in the oven to avoid exposure.

Leave inside the Oven for 10-12 minutes (OVEN IS OFF)

When you pry the lights apart. Make sure you kinda move the plastic tabs off the lens cover so when you pry, they don't snap.

Start @ the bottom left corner of the headlights to pry

Pry with a flat head phillips. Once you pry it apart, it should come off pretty easy. You can leave the flat head to keep it separated and use another to keep you pulling it apart.

Once you have it apart. You can scuff up the chrome with a green brillo pad.

Then clean it off with warm water. Allow it to dry. Then use alcohol to get all the oils off it and ready for paint.

Apply 3-4 Very light coats of Black. Allow 15-20 minute Dry time in between coats.

The final coat should have at least 2 days of dry time. That is how I do it and what happens if the paint is not "CURED". It will start to do it inside the headlights and start to fog/haze up the clear lens.

IF you must install them together asap. Allow it to dry inside a closed box on a warm day for at least 5-6 hours. I recommend 2-3 Days to dry.

    GOOD LUCK!

I was super nervous about the oven thing at first. But once the adhesive loosens up, its super easy.

I took the reflectors off the sides, amber cover off the flashers, and am blacking out the main reflectors because I am doing a retro HID conversion.
