Another way to look at it is that the Mexican made Taco's may actually be better. The jobs at the auto plants in Mexico are probably some of the better jobs in that country. Hence the worker might actually want to do a better job, to keep it.

I had a 2000 Focus that was made in Mexico and it was the best built vehicle I have ever owned. Great paint, all panels and dash assemblies fit properly, and not a squeak or rattle to be heard. No unions telling them to do a 1/2 ass job, ect.

Better than Made in China. You would be shocked at the Chinese part content in your Tacoma. Not major parts but thousand of little things. Face it , we live in a world wide economy.

I havent run across anything made in china in the Tacoma yet. Not saying its not there, just nothing that I have found.
My Wife and I activley try and purchase goods that are "Made in USA". We have found that on average, its only a few cents more than the made in china counterparts. In fact, our last shopping trip was for a B-day present for a friends kid. Seems like EVERY fricken kids toy is made in china. We ended up getting the kid a drum set we found that was made in USA. He turned 6, and I bet he POUNDING away on those things right now! :D

I know mines a NUMMI Taco cause that is where I picked her up from right after she rolled off the line. Paid for it in Alameda but lived in Fremont at the time and the dealership let me pick it up at the factory, it saved me like 300.00 for delivery.
