we are trying to get our 21yo to sit down and watch the FPU with us, imaging if we all had this mindset at age 21?

 

I know I would be much much closer to retirement!

 

My daughter is 28 and debt free. Pounding 500 month into a roth and 500 mo into an ira, has a job that will give her a pension, she will be retired in 15 years. She is mad at me for not getting her started at 18.

 

Nice... my parents were really conservative with spending & taught me a lot of that (maybe too much so) so I never really leveraged any credit until I was mid 20's. Up until then it was all cash and carry.
Although, if you told me when 25-26 hit I was gonna be walking with a cane and struggling to breathe through intense chest pain I woulda gone ahead and racked up a little debt seeing the world or something...

 

That is the attitude more young people need! Good for her, tell her to teach some of her "free" stuff friends!!!!

 

About to buy a boat but before I do I need some advice. The boat I am about to purchase has no title, should I worry at all? I am going to put a motor on it so how would I go about getting a title as well?

 

Anyone know of any good rino lining /linex places in the valley?
Have a small project needing done.

 

Boats don’t really have titles in AZ they have registrations, does it have an az number on it? If so it should have a registration slip on it they sign it turning it over to you. Then you have to go to game and fish and put it in your name

 

That's what I was reading last night but the guy I'm buying from said he doesnt have a title for it which made me think. Thanks!

We didn’t start until we were 44, I look back and think what if we knew this at 30 or even 35 how much closer to retirement we would be!
I cannot wait to start fully funding our emergency fund and start rebuilding our retirement again.

 

Sadly we have gone through “the cycle” of eliminating debt and then racking it back up 4-5 times. We never had the right mindset to stay away from debt until now!

It’s funny before she was always saying no to purchases, now it’s me saying no to everything and it’s driving her nuts!

 

I’ll pay off my debt after I get engaged.. lol til then save up what I can & pay off what I can.
Meanwhile the other side of the financial spectrum wonders whether to buy the pink lambo or the purple. Crazy

 

Was debt free for a long time up until recently, but I do love my Tacoma.

 

Gonna be doing an overnighter on four peaks in April if you're interested. AZT rolls right below where we stopped last time and there's a decent site just up the road from the AZT. It's a shitload of fun meeting the thru hikers plus just hanging out drinking beer all weekend.

 

Did the spare tire elevator relocation mod today. full size 33” spare fits under the bed perfectly now. No rubbing on the diff or exhaust.
