Yeah, mine leaked within a few months. That's performance shocks for you. The good thing is that they are rebuildable.

I haven't yet. Didn't know about that. They're not leaking or anything, just odd that they look like that.

By now I'm not sure of anything anymore, unless tested by independent labo_O In all seriousness, it would be kind of weird to get grime on the bottom of a only one shock out of all of the places in the truck, not saying it's impossible.
I'll try to take a photo in the afternoon after work

Uhh for $2500+ you’d expect them to last longer. Especially since they are built to take a beating. 500 miles and no rough use they should look and perform perfectly.

I hate to agree but mine too seems more like stock, although it does soak up small road imperfections well. When I hit I good jolt, especially like a parking lot speed bump its loose as a goose. Im really hoping things will settle and get better or that I'll discover something to smooth the ride out. I am still at 500 miles or less so maybe I'm still gonna break them in, also I have the hd rear springs with currently no weight on it which will change once my gear is all ready. Best of luck to you i too
]i too had a weird noise after install, it was a bit of a pop at higher speeds when hitting a bump. I have yet to hear it since alignment but I'm going to go check the area you mentioned for reference to clearance. Hope those things are ok for your sake.

Its to take away the driveline vibrations. It corrects the angle I guess I could wait and see but its more preventative maintenance kind of thing.

I see, are they doing both sides or what? Where are the shims going exactly?

Do any of you have factory hub to fender specs or a good way to know exactly how much lift I am currently at?

They go under your leaf pack to angle the axle / driveline to the correct angle. And yes they go on both sides

Nice setup. Which spring rate did you go with, what size tires you'll be running?

650# spring rate and going with 285/75/17 with ray 10's 17x9's still undecided about the tire though. Im leaning towards the Falken wildpeaks. Ive had the ridge grapplers in the past and loved them but want something more AT than a hybrid AT because i drive a lot for school.

Got busy with family life over the weekend, forgot to post theos pics
    IMG_20190318_24682.jpg IMG_20190318_41799.jpg

Second pic is a "selfie" from underneath behind sway bar, shows some rust on top of it. So Yea, it definitely rubbed. I honestly couldn't find time to lay down under the truck during this weekend ....

How much more room do you have on the other side? You can shift around and find the sweet spot so both sides don’t rub. It might not be aligned correctly

Is this something that seems to be making a big difference for people?I looked and wheelers actually has them on sale right now. I may grab some bc I definitely have vibrations. I'm taking it back Saturday to get My caster straightened out!Hopefully that will help the rough ride and bumps a bit.....

Yeah look up 3 degree shims on tacoma world it helps a lot of people. Granted not everyone needs them, and sometimes it can be the needle bearing in the front. You can measure the angle and see what you need. Ill try to find and post the link up for the video. People have said its helped a lot and gives you a better understanding. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/amazing-what-a-3-degree-shim-can-do.357655/ 2nd page about halfway down but there a lot of threads on this.

Thank you very much, I am trying to figure all this out without losing something that can really have a negative impact. The ride isnt terrible but at this point far from what I expected with the money I have invested. I just feel like I'm some minor adjustments or fixes from getting it right. My issue is the are definitely vibrations at all times, it is noticeably worse around 20-35 mph which I'm sure is the needle bearing and that will be fixed by Ecgs next week when they do my gears.I'll read up more on the shims for sure, and from what a few members responded to my alignment numbers I posted I need way more caster for my jba ucas so I'm not sure what that does for me as far as ride comfort but I'm sure it will only help.I guess outside of that I'll just slowly see what I can do to get it smoother bc it's a bit rough on road when hitting bumps and rough spots.
