    Part of my broken awning. The wind picked it up, wrapped it over my truck (twisting it to hell), and ripped it off.
    Here's the non-broken side:

    I either need to glue the pieces back together, or replace the plastic portion with something else. I know a wooden dowel would be easiest, but not the best for longevity.

    Real-time edit: I may just pass it off to a buddy with a 3d printer.

    Why don't you fill where the plastic part would go with JB Weld and then set the steel rod piece in place and let cure. Boom! Now it's tough as nails.
