Unfortunately and I know it's a sore subject but most of the problems are:

People need to actually read and comprehend the original (#1) post. Granted I think the original post could have been updated better.

People need to realize that from the date of purchase to having the ability to actually put the tune in your vehicle could take give or take 6 or 7 days while you wait on computer ID and registry keys.

The actual thread has gotten to the point it is so large know one can take the time to read it.

The obvious disrespect by many to stay on topic in the thread accounts for 75 percent of it's length.

I would suggest to Mat in my own humble opinion that he just make a scheduled post daily or every other day to update people on the progression of the tune then just back to work. His constant involvement is to be admired but it has become a constant thorn in his side just trying to help people and them taking advantage of him.

I'm not sure what the solution for the charge backs and the lack of patience is? Society has developed a ugly characteristic of intitlement and it creates an adversarial relationship between the group and individuals.

I look at this tune as a long term investment, unfortunately I have 04B03 and so far have only been able to enjoy the 87 base tune but as in any investment I hope that in the future I get more returns on my investment and benefit from it.

Ok I'm done and will return to the background waiting for additional updates to the tunes. Thanks for your time and sorry for the length of post but the constant flare ups in this thread is ridiculous and sad.

Hope you don't think I was one of the A-holes. I was just wanted to upgrade my ECU to 04B04 if possible.

No! I try never to draw attention to any one person I just try to address things as a whole. I would love to update mine to 04B04 also but I haven't had good luck with getting TS to work. Im a old retired guy and not very computer literate. I was mainly trying to address the latest blowup and the blowup that happen every few weeks on this thread.

Actually, the OVTune website states that “processing” time (time to prepare an order for shipment) is 5 to 7 business days. That means actual turn around from order placement to delivery is realistically 10 - 12 business days.

I recently added that, as we are changing some of our terms and processing time. Realistically we work much quicker, however I want to add additional time on the site in case people rush to dispute us because they don't hear back immediately.
I understand a lot of people still want to get a kit, and are messaging us. let us update everything and they will be available again.

Everything is being changed to make this process for people quicker.

    Easier, video instructions
    Setup software before cable ships.
That way people can absolutely flash the moment they receive their package.
Easy to use troubleshooting software (easier than teamviewer) that lets us check your issue for you.

So I did the tsb 04B04 update and feels a lot better then stock 03. I will drive on it for a while before flashing. Although, I am happy with the tsb and if it doesn't learn its bad habits, I may consider selling my ovtune kit.

I was allowing the extra days is for every product that is ordered from anywhere, but you are correct.

You have put up with way too much for way too long. You are a much more patient person than I am.

There has been no update which means the status hasn't changed.

He is waiting for the units to arrive.

Running 1.05/93Gl. 32’s,TB spacer,DD exhaust, basically homemade cai.. 120 mile freeway trip averaged 20.2mpg running 70-75mph. In-town avg is about 18. I drive hard most of the time. Gl on freeway hills is great. Can run with just about anything up steep hills in 4th and cruise at 75 in 5th. I do miss ECT in D mode though. Really like this tune—power and good mileage.
I have about 500 miles on this tune and on the first tank I was getting terrible mileage—about 17 fwy and 15.3 overall. As soon as I started the second tank mileage really improved as seen above.

How is everyone using Gearlock? Putting it in 5th on the highway and leaving it there? Shifting through the gears in town? What about towing?

I use mine for towing. Put it in 4 or 5 for highway maybe 3 or 4 in town, let it auto upshift and do the down shifts manually. That’s the strategy that works for me.

I rediscovered the reason I opted for the AT over MT when I first started using gear lock around town and doing the up and downshifts manually. Too much action for an old fart.

I am confused about this . I thought that while in gearlock , the trans would not auto up shift unless hitting the redline . then will not downshift unless below 1100 rpm or so . In other words it stays in the gear you put it in unless under or over reving and causing a stall or fuel cutoff . I have not tried it yet .
