My registration is currently due to be renewed. This is my current plate.
If I just renew it, it will cost $115 but if I cancel it, I can save $40. Anyone think its worth it to spend an extra $$ to renew it or should I just get the standard plate?

Since I'm not even sure what HULNTOY means, I would let it go. They are just a waste of money, IMO.

My theory is ..... if I have to think more than 2 seconds what a plate means it ought to be trashed ..... now in this case I am guessing that it reads .... "hauling Toyota" ...... in the Commonwealth of Virginia it is $10 for a vanity plate ..... I have my boyhood team .... "67 BOSOX" .... if you have the $$$ .... go for it.

Even though I'm not a sports fan, I like the BOSOX one.
The worst vanity plates are the ones that say "MY XXX" (fill in the XXX with the car make, of course.) Sooo stupid. I always think, "Yep, it is yours, and it is an XXX car, glad you pointed that out, cuz I thought it was mine."

I did actually get it, but as stated above, I had to think about it for a bit first. It looks like "Hull & Toy" at first, like some kind of boat reference.

^ I never thought of that before. I guess it could mean that since I do have a boat. But originally I wanted it to say hulntoys but it was to long.

I don't have a picture of my vanity plate on my Tacoma, but here it is on my Mazda3. State of WV only charges $5 or $7 for it, so I went for it. :D

When I lived in MD, it almost doubled registration to do a vanity tag. Hell with that!

You have to pay extra every year just to keep your personalized plate??

    Wow...that sucks!!

In PA - we pay for the cost to make the plate itself ($20?) and never have to pay anything else to keep it. Just standard registration fees that everyone pays.
I've had my vanity plate for .....17 years.

Yes its an extra $40 per year to keep the tag. It used to be $25 extra per year, but total its only $115. So I'm still undecided. The new plates look horrible though.

How come you don't have a Kentucky plate, Then you would only have to have 1 instead of the silly additional front plate.

i dont really see the point in these-- the state makes enough money off of me as it is, why give them more for something i really couldnt care less about like a license plate

EDIT-- btw what does this have to do w/ second gen??
