Exactly. I had no issues with my truck for 2 years and then all of a sudden I've had a bunch in the past 6 months. All independent of mods too. At least a bunch of old parts are getting replaced, so in theory it should be more reliable now...

It sounds fine. Don't think it sounds awesome by any means, but it gave the truck a nice tone and it's still reasonably quite.

But it's typically nothing that will ever leave you stranded, and that's what counts.

Can you share why you mounted the lower mounts on the forward side of the axle?

That’s just how total chaos designed the kit. It wouldn’t work with the lower mounts on the backside of the axle.

    Nice. Who was the seller?

Seems odd they'd shut down a gb for something so simple

A bunch of the same stuff everybody else has already done.
Alright I got my Nv’s, now I just gotta figure out if I should just go ahead and throw those 1.25 spacers on now when I install. I do like the look and the added stability they would provide. Will the tires clear the fenders when they articulate up?

I had to do the pinch weld mod and still rub on my pinch weld and windshield wiper fluid reservoir (need to relocate it). You might have better luck with just a 1'' spacer. With a little more massaging than I did I'm sure you could get it to not rub with 1.25's

I got in contact with someone on alibaba for distributor pricing.

Yeah I thought the whole GB thing was kinda odd, especially considering there's a PIAA light group buy that's been active for awhile now.

I did some hunting and found some of the Baja style lights. The ones I can't fine are the dual LED ones which are the ones I really want. Can you send me a link?

Yeah I've seen people do that before with Alibaba and stuff. IDK why it mattered..odd.

The S2 knock off? Can't find those on any distribution site, but I did happen to find them on Amazon.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LNUFTSE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can actually unscrew the lense and replace with any baja designs s2 lense which is kinda cool.

I was happy with the light output of them. The color temperature isn't as nice as the baja's, but for $15 a light it's hard to beat.

A lot of you will claim you can't see it, but one thing that really bugs me with cheap LED lights is the flickering. Instead of designing proper cooling of the electronics, they just pulse the voltage on the line to reduce the heat. I can see this flickering. Brand new, $50,000+ cars I am annoyed by their giant, space ship headlight/tail light rows that are flickering. So, to me, it's worth paying for the BD stuff for anything that I will be pointing forward for my own vision. For rear facing backup/dust lighting I care less about.

Huh, never heard about or seen led flickering. I have really shitty vision though.

PWM (Pulse-width modulation) is the technical term for what I describe. Hopefully you don't notice it.

No offense but I doubt you can see the flicker. What is more likely your seeing is the refraction of projectors. Or shitty housings bouncing around

Lies. I sat in the lab in college and played with the PWM signal going to LEDs and noticed it long ago. Unfortunately my senses are enhanced naturally - smell, vision, hearing. It's good and bad.
