    Don't Much Like what I'm seein' Right Now for this Seasons Cooks.

    Good Spice Prices are thru the Roof. Anybody seen what Good Pepper Costs Now?
    Quality Olive Oil is almost impossible to Find, Let alone the Price.
    Flooding is almost for sure in the interlake so Beef Prices could get Crazier than usual.
    Carbon Tax comin' In Soon so Charcoal is likely effected too.

    But I almost stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. :bananadead: Rant Over.

    Its one of those lousiana grills, about the size of a big green egg. My dad bought it because the other grill is too damn big to use for smaller cooks like this one.

    Wrinkle on the rib cook? Grill temp sensor reads 165f. Grill temp probe and Inkbird on grate clips in center of grill read 202f. o_O Turned grill setting down 5f
    Waiting for grate clips to stabilize.
    I'm thinking the grill temp sensor is taking a shit. :mad:
    Gonna keep a close eye on this cook.

    hmmm grill temp sensor is swinging 155 to 165f. Not normal, usually swings 3f at the most. Grate temp swinging about the same. Gonna change some parts tomorrow.
    The rest of this cook is gonna be 'by guess, by golly!' May be done sooner, may just let it ride at current temp, and bump the temp for only an hour.
    You guys got any suggestions?

    “Eye of round” hitting the smoke for a night without the wife and staying up for the inaugural F1 race in Australia. So luckily it doesn’t matter what the cook time is at all lol

    5.5 hours in, thermopen average temp 170f. Boosted grill temp to 205, should net 225f. Alcohol and apple juice applied. :)
    This cook reminds me of charcoal cooks, constantly changing vents to chase temps.

    Update: 1 set of ribs IT 200f. Pulled and resting. Other ribs at 180f. Difference? Rub and grill placement. Rub can't matter on IT? no
    Letting them ride for a bit.
    It's 5pm and i'm getting hungry. I think a drink is in order, while I wait.
