I am not here to defend Tacomabeast, and I believe they should have handled the situation a lot differently, however, the product in question came from Tufskinz and sold by Tacomabeast. If you look at the Tufskinz return policy, it states once the red liner has been removed the product is no longer returnable. Now, in light of the already bad publicity, TCMBST should have just ate the cost and made the refund. I dont see why people are buying these products from these guys when you can get the same thing from Amazon or even direct from the original manufacturer. Anyway, had the OP got the product direct from Tufskinz what would be the outcome? Would they quote the return policy and deny the refund, or would they step up and issue the refund or another set of stickers with the stipulation that if these dont work out for you then you have just lost out?

Seems shitty overall, regardless, as it seems like OP got a bum product. For all we know these garbage kits are made overseas with phoney “3M” tape that’s not really 3M.

Would probably be easily fixed in a small claims court but no one got time for that.

That only applies if you're returning it because u didn't like it or you decided to go a different route or whatever. Not if it's defective.

Right, it can't be returned for money but there's still a warranty for a defective product right?

    "Warranty

TUF SKINZ warrants product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. All Carbon Fiber products are warrantied for 3 years and 1 year for color options products. Proof of purchase will be required for warranty service. Customer modifications and/or improper return packaging of the product may void this warranty. All warranty parts must receive a return authorization number and sent back for inspection prior to replacement. Damage to our kit or to the surface it is being applied to at the time of or following the installation is the responsibility of the installer and not the responsibility of Tuf Skinz.

I have installed plenty of TufSkinz stuff and never had an issue with the 3M tape not sticking. Wonder if OP's interior had been "cleaned" by Armorall or something at some point?

If it takes 2 weeks for them to respond on small items, I'm sure they take even longer to respond on larger items - plus - with chargebacks you only have a limited time to do one, but it's your best route esp if you have proof you contacted the merchant and they didn't reply back. these guys won't see any money from me.

Which is why I wondered if they would send another set and if that one didnt work they would assume the installer is doing something wrong. There is also the special note that covers the installer issues.

TacomaBeast is petty enough to argue with a customer over an order for some stickers and create an account on TacomaWorld for this sole reason. I have serious doubts that they're acting in good faith...

Tacomabeast is not doing anything about it. They said the return policy is set in stone.

I don't like this TB guy's jib at all - but that said, if the customer didn't install right, that's not on the vendor. that's on the customer. let's be honest a lot of people come to the internet just to bitch and take someone down. i'm not saying this guy is doing that, but let's keep open minds.

what the customer returned is a hot mess, no pun intended.

if this was a widespread problem, i'd think we'd know that.

if i was TB i'd just send him another set and say it's done. if the customer facks up a 2nd set, then you know the customer is retarded.

So the customer tells the company what happened (like, installing the stickers) and the company says to send them back. Then a few weeks later the company states that used stickers can't be returned and that the used stickers (that they were told by the customer got used) should've been shipped back to them in such a manner as to be re-useable? A sticker sticking to another sticker indicates that they did what they were meant to do? Who is this making sense to? I have to greatly question the intelligence of employees that would do this...

well neither side is handling it well - i mean, seriously once they're used, the vendor can't do anything with them - their options are tell the customer they have to follow their own policies, or give him a new set and let him have a 2nd go.

to me as a vendor, i just send this guy another set and if he facks them up again, he's done. if he doesn't know what he's doing, go to a vinyl shop and have someone who does know, install them. i know that sounds ridiculous but seriously.

So they have a warranty policy that states if a product you tried to use failed you can't get a replacement? Why does their website have a page for you to submit warranty claims then? Why would there be any expectation for a sticker that didn't stick to plastic to be used anywhere again?
