Sounds like a plan. Don't bend anything this time. :boink:

The welds look good on that bumper, congrats! I really like his design. I just texted Billy to order one and give him the list of items I want.

Will you be cutting your exhaust tip off so you can make use of the HC bumper design?

I will once it bends. I still have yet to bend it...I just dug it into the ground this morning and no bends. I’m not trying hard enough haha!

Woops haha. Ryan’s sliders saving the day on a few spots! The +1 was a spotter and I told her I’d rather rub tire than bumper, and she made sure of it haha!

Yup back of Sandstone, first “section” f’d it up then I dropped slider pretty hard trying to go even further back. Turned around since it was getting late.

Some iPhone pictures of the trip since I don’t have time to edit /:

Things I can say I’ve realized since I’e done ~1,100 miles this last week
    1. The new bumper is amazing. The table still needs to be adjusted and I need to mount the propane tank, but so far so good. Oceane is addicted to opening and closing it the swingout and the table haha! She does it everytime.

    2. The need for gears is now non-existent. Since all the weight now is low and under cab height, I have 0 issues even on hills.

    3. Long travel is going to be a sweet improvement! So stoked for that to come on!!

    4. The truck is actually doing really good on gas now...Averaged ~290 miles all highway on 2 fillups which is crazy good! And I was doing 70-75 too. Woo!

    5. The Smittybilt mattress sucked, horribly, but added a 1.5” topper and it got tremendously better. Might return it though and go for a 2” topper as my shoulder was still bottoming out. Close to 20 nights in a Smittybilt now and still loving it!

Have the “new” roof rack sitting downstairs but still unsure if I want to throw it on.

Got the propane bottle mounted. No more bottles clanking around my bins. Kinda looks cool too :amen:

Does anyone know where to find the Plastic Scepter Jerry Cans?

Love it, it's just a heavy pig. I tried switching bumpers but couldn't...It's worth it

Harbor Freight carries those 5 gallon plastic CARB compliant fuel jugs, don't think they're Scepter brand but look the same and only 20 bucks iirc

Oh man...I haven't had a license plate light in 2 years and every time I see a cop behind me at night I get ready for him/her to pull me over, But hasn't happened yet. Just last night I had a cop follow me on my tail for 2 miles into my neighborhood and then he turned right before my street. I thought my day of reckoning had finally come but I guess not yet

Dude that’d be amazing. There are next to no surprlus stores here and everyone I called said they didn’t have one. Let me know if you do get the chance and find any!
