No worries! I was just making sure it went though and no shenanigans were happening. No rush at all, from any of us.

Making that chedda! There’s this older guy that Adam does a lot of work for, and I help occasionally. He’s gonna drive his tacoma around South America. Today I installed AALs in his dakars, and we got these mounted up, and some other misc stuff.

My new brake lines should be here any minute and I’ll throw those on once they arrive.

Nice! What’s the top one? I just spent the most time with my truck that I have since I bought it. Put a nubby antenna on and a rear view riser. Pitiful I know. Eh. At least I’m being productive while waiting for my bathtub paint to dry.

Looks like a Redarc DC-DC charger.

Need to get that new ram mount on there.

So glad I moved my rear view up. Took a little bit to get used to but definitely glad I did it

Whaaaasatdo? I’m not electrically competent. I thought about it. I don’t think I’m going to try to pull the dash tonight though. Gotta get this tub finished up and ready to deliver in the AM......B365C62F-FEA9-4391-B846-E70D54A01121.jpg

I don’t even think it will take getting used to. I sat in it and it finally feels completely natural. But I’m a biggun and have always driven 3/4 or 1 ton trucks.

It's for dual battery setups. It takes the alternator voltage and boosts it to efficiently charge the second battery. Most modern alternators don't get to the full voltage that a deep cycle wants to see to fully charge. It also takes care of battery isolation duties, and they generally have solar panel inputs as well.

This is a great video that explains dual battery setups and dc-dc chargers.

So, it's actually a Redarc combo DC-DC & AC-DC charger. Thing is sweet. Will charge from the alternator, solar, or 120v AC.

How do yall think I should run the CB antenna chord to mount the antenna to this extension bracket? Is through the firewall the best bet or what?

How close does that bracket come to your mirror when the door is open?
