My buddy did the same thing on the extension bracket. Never had any problems with it, but on the bed stiffeners may be a good idea

I ran it under the truck along the frame rails, zip tieing it the whole way. Then under the floorboard in the front, through a gromet, siliconed it.

I used to have it on the drivers side in the back and when I would open up my RTT it would bend backwards and thats what broke the first mount. Got a mount for the other side and then the bolt snapped, and may just forget about using an extractor bit and just leave it how it is. So thats why I wanted to do it in the front, and I also broke the spring for the antenna taking it off today... ordered a new one and may end up just throwing it on the bed stiffener. Not sure why I didnt think of that

    Stalking purposes only!

    Just kidding (maybe.)

Let me just put it this way, you do not know what clenched means until you're doing down 678 at an unreasonable speed in a Budget rental Ford box truck with over 100k on the clock.

You could just put it back behind the cab, and get a quick disconnect. Take it off when you have your tent open. You arent going to be using your cb when you are sleeping

If you can sleep walk down some stairs, open your door, turn your truck on, then turn the cb on, pick up the mic and talk, you have bigger issues than worrying about your cb mount lol
