Luckily, I didn’t. However some might have to unbolt an engine mount and jack up the engine to clear the bellhousing.

The best advice I’ve gotten is to “Rotate the differential forward”

The most difficult part is the rear mounting cushion which is on a stud. It helps to have a friend.

If you don’t plan on using 4WD, then you don’t really need to worry about it. Drain whatever oil is left.

I don’t know if that makes a difference since you’re probably ADD. With Manual Hubs nothing inside the ring and pinion is spinning with the hubs on Free.

If you can find a 4Runner that’ll have what you need mostly likely. Or try car-part.com

Weird shit happened with my truck today...made a thread looking for help if you guys have a few minutes

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...loss-abs-airbag-lights-and-p2238-code.599378/

Basically when my truck gets bounced around on the trail, the RPMs drop suddenly and it wants to stall/lose all power...and the airbag and ABS lights come on. After a couple seconds it runs normally until it gets jolted around again.

After an hour or so I got a CEL (P2238 code...air/fuel sensor heater circuit)

Truck drove fine on the 2 hour freeway trip home (minus the CEL), no power loss symptoms unless it gets bounced around. If I hit a speed bump it'll trigger the symptoms.

    Any ideas?

Is your O2 sensor cable rubbed through and shorting on something? Happens sometimes when people smash their exhaust. Also battery terminals tight?

My thought as well. Also check all grounds. Pull them and clean them up. It really sounds like it was just loosing amperage.

Battery terminals are tight, I did replace the positive connector a few weeks back because the stock one was falling apart. But it was tight.

I'll check the O2 sensor cables tomorrow when it's light out to see how they look...one of the threads I was reading about this suggested this as well, said the wires may have gotten melted by the exhaust.

One thing that I did notice was that my battery ground cable was half ripped off...I took it off completely but this didn't seem to change anything. It's been in bad shape for a long time but never got any issues like this. Could a bad battery ground maybe have something to do with it?

I'll take the connections off tomorrow and reattach them, I'll replace the battery ground too
