So she said she tried deleting everything but there was nothing to delete. They handheld said “device has never been used”. She said she can’t delete what’s under “cars” where it lists the truck. Does she need to delete this? If so ....how?

As an update my check engine light and trac light came on this morning again. Scanned code and got a P2443 which labels the air injection valve being stuck closed instead of the P2442 valve stuck open. Luckily for me there was no limp mode associated with the valve stuck code so I can continue my thing until I get the bypass in the mail and install it. All power levels remain normal and the same. Of course the maintenance light is flashing at me. I'll have to do my regularly scheduled oil change before my trip to LA.

As long as there is truly a Platinum and Rhodium reduction bed built into that "sensor" it should work actually. Huh.. that's quite impressive. I may have to bookmark that for when our cats start going out.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
On the left hand side “Erase Data” click that. Make sure the software update has been run as well in accordance with the instructions on the website as well. Every time you plug it in it will update the device. Click “Erase Data” after all that then plug back into the vehicle to download stock file.

Sounds good.....the wife truly knows her why around computers, being that she said she tried deleting everything but couldn’t figure the “cars” page I posted.....I’d really like to think she saw that “erase data” on the left side and tried it. I’ll report back in the morning after I get home and do this.....

@JuanitoBunito how far are you from Detroit? If this tuning shop works out you might be able to get a better tune than the handheld

If the check engine light returns I’ll probably end up giving this a shot, hope I won’t need to. But worth the try.

Well, I did what ya told me to do. I was right, the wife did try to erase the data yesterday. We did it all over again and she showed me. She showed me how it says “empty device” and how it then obviously wouldnt let her erase data from an empty device. We tried updating before we did it and again after. We went to my truck for the hell of it and ended up with the same result.

I’m sorry. I had that hiccup when I switched from N/A to SC and figured it might help since working through Mat is no quick process tied up in all the 3.5L stuff.

I thought he said these were open box because they wouldn’t work on NA vehicles. It seems like there is more to it.

In his last email to me he said he would send an email to the database/servers. He said it’s probably an update issue......

    My shit is all stock.
Me too! Well, since you snaked this one :smack:; I ended up scoring one from @volcomstone1223.

Thank you @JuanitoBunito for pointing out that post.

Bolted it on last Thursday. The night before the wife and I left on what ended up being a 900 mile round trip to SoCal.
Anyway, the engine is definitely snappier and more responsive. My exhaust, like yours, is simply a TRD cat-back. Sounds only a tiny bit louder. No drone at all on the freeway. I’m happy for that. Best thing tho is that I picked up about 1.5 mpg over what I was getting with the stock y-pipe. Previous road trips have topped out at about 13.75mpg. This trip was between 15-15.2mpg calculated over three tanks of fuel.

Certainly the design of the pipe can be improved. Something like one of @Roostfactor pipes would be optimal. But, for an easy to obtain, simple install, quality part. I recommend this pipe.

How is the 4.0 S/C cooled? Is it just the lid on the “plenum” that’s cooled after the charge? Or does the air run through a true aftercooler?

This is on the underside of the lid. The compressed air travels through it before it enters the lower intake manifold.

    ACE543DA-FA6D-41FA-8A9D-B3C192EC4A44.jpg

Coolant is circulated through it with an electric pump and then the coolant is pumped to the LTR in front of the radiator.
