The mic is part of the mirror. You would need a new rear-view mirror. The wiring for mic may/may not be there. Then it would have to be tied into the radio, which I cannot figure out if it is possible and I am leaning towards no on that. Unless we had gotten straight from the dealer, an all factory OEM system seems way to much $$$$ to do. I have researched this to no end. The best I can up with is adding a BT head unit and tie it into the steering wheel controls. Which would have to be ordered and installed.

I have a question for the members here that have the Blu-Logic installed. I currently have my iPod connection in the 12pin connector in the back of the 2008 Tacoma's base stereo. Toyota calls it the AVC-LAN port. Does the Blu-Logic system hook into that as well? If so, is there any way to split that port between the iPod and the Bluetooth?

    Thanks for your time everyone!

I just purchased the components I need to install Sirius in my '09 DC...thanks to this forum. Is anyone running Blu Logic and Sirius on their factory radio heads? I'm wondering if the Sirius will use a port that is needed for the blu logic?

I do not have Blu Logic however it was my understanding that there will be no conflict as the Blu Logic goes between the factory harness and the radio. I am not 100% on this as I do not have the unit.

The dealer did not mount the microphone in the correct spot, it is supposed to be higher up.....

The instructions that came with my Blue Logic says to install it just where his dealer installed it. I installed mine just above the rear view mirror. I glued it to the plastic piece that covers the rear view mirror cable.

How did you get the cable there?
My dealer mounted it in the upper left corner on the glass and it bugs me there so I was thinking of moving it there also but don't want to drop the headliner.

I routed the mic cable to the right of the mirror on top of the headliner and down behind the right window post cover. I used a wire to help me route the cable. The main BLue Logic box should be secured to the right and behind the glove box and that is where the end of the mic cable hooks up.

HMMMMMMM. Mine is probably mounted on the left side under the fuse box area. Guess I'll have to go exploring when I find time just to see what he did.

If your installer followed the factory instructions, he would have installed the main box to the right and behind the glove box. If you pm me your email address I can send you a digital copy of the installation instructions supplied with the Blue Logic.

Thanks but I already have the info. Dealer techs are not prone to following directions and often look for shortcuts to speed up the work. Probably why my mic is where it is and not down by the instruments as the directions called for.

Nope. I took a trip to the dealer and asked them, they didn't really have a definite answer, it is a pretty new product. I also looked at the harness and from what it looks like is a 10 pin connector.
I have not yet pulled the head unit to look but we'll see.

Anyone know which plug on the rear of the head unit is for the factory XM. The harness goes down to the left kick panel????

Anyone have a pic of where the button is when it comes from the factory? Just bought a 2010 with the blu logic.....but not sure where it will be. The truck hasn't arrived yet.

Dealer is installing my Blulogic this week. I asked about the conflict question for the Sirius Sat and he said No problems. Will find out in a couple of weeks as I have an appointment to have that installed too. Will post back!

I have the blue logic hands free in my 2009 Tacoma - everytime I get an email or text message on IPhone , the blue logic shuts off radio - it takes about 15 to 20 seconds for radio to return to program I was listening to / I had a Parrot blue tooth system in my Tundra and it only shut off my radio when I received a phone call - could the toyota deale rhave instaledl the blue logic incorrectly? Seems weird every time my phone does anything I loose my radio broadcast! anyone else have this problem.

I found out that no company person available - you can only talk to Touota ( who was helpful) this bluetooth unit interrupts radio for any activity on cell phone - so you loose the radio until phone is not active --- VERY BAD SYSTEM _ DO NOT INSTALL THIS AS ADD ON IN YOUR VECHILE! Was told if you buy auto pre installed this does not happen.
