SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Clean the cowl area? WTF - Mine would take weeks to clean under there, and be destroyed the next weekend. But this is what I love about the Taco groups is that there are so many of us who love these trucks and for vastly different reasons, yet we all learn new tricks and tips and, most importantly, help each other just keep on spending cash on these things!

If you are worried about drilling up and through your hood you need to be looking at a sharper drill bit, slower RPM and more tool control.
Let the drill do the work and take your time. You're not drilling 1/4" plate steel under there.

Slow and easy wins this race.

Start with a smaller hole and work up if you have to. You don't need 200 pounds of shoulder strength behind the drill here. (and if you do check your bit again for sharpness and that the drill is turning forward in a clockwise manner) You should be using your wrist and just holding the bit in place with a little pressure letting it make all those pretty little curls.

Hold the drill tight and steady, not much force on the bit.
You're not trying to force a kielbasa through a keyhole...

Heh, heh, heh.... If you fail this test Grasshopper, I'm sorry to say you will have to raffle off your truck, get a man bun and be forced to drive a Yaris !

Get out there.... It truly is child's play !
A 13 year old kid with the desire to do the job who has average motor skills and reading comprehension can pull this off. It's a drill, a rivet gun and about 6" of masking tape for cryin' out loud !

Shout if you need anything. Hell, lay it out anyway and see what you're faced with.... It's No Big Deal.

More like clean the black trim on the cowl area. Cannot clean and polish up the entire truck and leave that area unmolested! I wipe some 303 Aerospace Protectant on all the black plastic parts, including the cowl to keep it looking new....Am i the only one?

I'd love to find the right product for my bumpers, mud gaurds and such that have been whitened with wax....

Will 303 clean the white and restore the black ?

I found that 303 works best on black parts that haven't been too weathered by the sun, but it still works great, just doesnt last as long when it already is sun damaged. Otherwise i use Mothers Back to Black on those parts on older vehicles and it seems to last a little longer. And both cover up the wax on the trim and makes them look new again.

One important thing to mention and why i like 303 Aerospace Protectant. 303 is a waterbased UV protectant that doesnt leave an oily residue on the wiped surface. I use it on the black pads on my running boards and it doesnt make them slippery when my wife steps on them to get in and out of my truck.
