This weekend was plumbing woes revisited. Apparently, one of my boys flushed a wooden puzzle piece and it swelled in the trap of the toilet. So after fixing the main stack last weekend, toilet replacement this weekend was a breeze. Something to be said for renting, it’s been an expensive couple of weeks.

Nope, he fessed up. The youngest is on the same path as the older one, just a couple years behind. Oldest broke a TV around 2 years old, youngest did the same, oldest broke the downstairs toilet around 3 years old, youngest just did the same... I don't remember what the oldest put down the toilet, the youngest used a wooden puzzle piece and it swelled up in the trap so I couldn't get it out.

The youngest is like wreck it Ralph, but he usually does tell the truth if you ask if he broke something. Hell, half the time he brings it to me, 'look Daddy, it's broke', like it's a moment of pride.

 

Anyone have any knowledge of how your truck steers when your intermidiate shaft starts to shit out? My truck all of a sudden is steering really odd as of today. It’s tough, and then it moves then it’s tough then it moves again...g

Your youngest sounds like me back then. I was always taking my bike apart to figure out how it worked and to see if I could put it back together..mixed results, but how many kids can take apart and rebuild a coaster brake hub at age 4 besides me..

 

Sounds like tge lower intermediate shaft. Spray the u-joint with penetrating oil and see if it goes away. If it does, thats your issue

Yeah...but is a diesel, with a manual trans. Oh what fun!

 

Yup. My silver truck would completely get hard or be normal. That sucked when that went

 

Mine was just recently got changed. My steering was binding up a little, left turns mostly.

 

But it's also a dog of an engine. Those old diesels were not quick or powerful by any stretch of the imagination. I think you'd be better off finding a newer 12 or 24 valve Cummins if diesel is the goal. It's a neat truck, just seems like stupid money for what it is. I don't recall any of the diesels of that era being any spectacular.

It's certainly pretty. And it's got the right combo, Cummins/Manual/4x4. But it's too pretty to work; that's a summer cruise night truck.

 

My truck is dirtier just towing back from Aroostook County yesterday
