    Everything and the kitchen sink.
Try the driveshaft flip. I flipped mine after lift and made a noticeable difference and now don't even notice it because of how faint.

I have 45000+ miles since my lift with the off throttle vibe. No other adverse effects. More important is to keep your universal joints lubed up. Although I may try the DS flip since it’s easy.

No joy. Tried to short the pins out and could not get the cruise light to come on. I also found out that there is a Rosetta wireless cruise installed.

Could not find the receiver. Also found this harness not plugged into anything.

Debating if I want to drop $200+ on a new clock spring just to have cruise control and steering wheel buttons for my 2013 head unit.

Truck was built October of 08 as an 09 2wd base reg cab.

This is my basic truck. I’ll never drive more than 30 minutes in it.

Hey guys, need some opinions! My running lights and license plates are out all around (keep blowing fuses). I figured it was my trailer harness but I can't get to my taillights (long story, but my tire gate is rusted shut and won't open. Currently beating the hell out of it). Anyways, I find where I grounded the harness and it's obvious that could be the issue (mud, salt, rust, etc). So I move it to a naturally clean spot and it worked! Until this morning when my running lights are out and I blew a fuse again.

Anyone chase down a similar problem? Any ideas on where to look next?

O, and my alternator went down today as well . So I am just loving the truck lately.

Do you have a cap? Was happening to me, couldn’t figure it out. Finally thru process of elimination found the third brake light in my cap was shorting it out.

No cap. I saw someone mention in another thread that their aftermarket stereo was the culprit. I don't remember installing that 7-8 some years ago. Anyone that has installed an stereo recently, do you remember having to splice into any thing related to the running lights?

No aftermarket alarm either. Really the only thing after market that should be considered is the trailer harness (no fogs or other lights). What confuses me the most is why moving the ground for a short period of time and then started blowing fuses again.

Great news, I got to the taillight! I had to remove the plastic cover to get enough room to reach the lower bolt with the tailgate open and resting against the gate. I am struggling to release the old plug and came inside to warm my hands .

Got the trailer harness out and started it up. I have lights for now, let’s hope it stays that way. :woot:

I got a bit of work done the last week or so. I leveled out the passenger side, did a BMC, some of you might have an aneurism sense in havent welded the plates on yet. Finally tinted the truck, 5% on back glass and 35% up front, kept it legal. Im not sure if I mentiond it earlier or not, but new tie rod ends, spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers for the front, and I also did wheelers offroad brake lines front and rear, the rear is 4" extra, serviced the truck with royal purple to see if the hype is true, rotated tires and detailed the suspension. Still need to do my wheel bearings, steering shaft and replace my already torn CV boot. but its almost there, soon back to actually doing mods

Is there a high output alternator for us 4bangers? About to pull mine today and my “quick” Napa replacement looks like it may not work. I picked it up to get the truck running faster but if I have to order again I’d rather go bigger.

I picked up a slightly used OEM alternator from a salvage yard off a low mile Tacoma.. for $65. Works great.
