    NHRA will never bring back the short wheelbase Fuel Altereds because of the 90" wheelbase rule . You'll only see them in Nostalgia race series such as the CHRR at Famosa

    The first time I ever saw a Fuel Altered was in NORCAL at Fremont drag Strip In the early 60's with my Parents !!

    There was an instant at Rolls Royce years ago about loose nuts in the roof framing that they could not get out, so they gave the customer a new RR.
    Apparently they had a guy working the line with colored spiked hair, yep think punk rocker and RR had warned him several times to cut his hair and they finally let him go, well, just before he left, he aledgedly dropped a handful of nuts into the roof frame before it was sealed up in the assembly process. The dealer could verify the insessent rattling, but couldn’t find the source. RR got the car back and tore it apart and found the nuts...
    An example of the length some folks will go to, to get one over as it were...

    Spent 2 days looking for a ping ping noise.
    Finally took the metal inner fender Shield off. Yes real metal..
    Found a small bottle on a string with a note saying
    “How long did it take you to find this”?
