Nothing yet. Was hoping to find one today since it’d be cheap and I’d just get new backing plates and shit. But nothing useable

Appreciate it, I'll be sure to do that.

Inspected my engine ground and found this...the wrap around the wires is toast but the wires look fine, should I just rewrap it or replace the ground wire? I assume the wrap is toast from the engine heat over time and not something abnormal...would it be ok to wrap in electrical tape or should I get something better capable of withstanding heat?

That wire is donezo, chances are it is starting to corrode. You can re wrap it for now. But might be wise to think about making a new one. Your ECU likes to ground partially through that. How did it melt? Also I, can remake that too

Could it have something to do with the my battery terminal hitting the bracket? Probably happened a couple dozen times yesterday on the trail. I just figured it was from the engine heat since its so close to the back of the block. Likely the original ground wire from 04.

It's ain't from engine heat, but if you have bad grounds elsewhere and it is forced to pass more current than it should it'll melt its casing. Looks like what happened here. My 22 year old Taco and 25 year old cruiser haven't had that happen from age yet and they're right over the exhaust manifold. I'd check your main ground ASAP and part of it could be from the short but I doubt it since the battery bracket was acting as ground for that

I wonder if it's because my battery ground has been bad for so long (may have even been unattached for quite some time as I discovered yesterday). I'm putting a new battery ground on now as we speak hopefully that takes care of it. I'll rewrap the engine ground for now and PM you about getting a new one made.

Hmm. All the wires are in the tundra for radio controls but the controls don’t work. Wonder if the radio isn’t compatible

Could be, it's a one wire resistance control right?

Haven’t looked that close. @mechanicjon would know. It’s the same wheel he swapped in

@Sperrunner you liar I can't watch Top Gear on the Motortrend channel...signed up for the free trail but it looks like the only way to watch Top Gear is to buy the episodes or seasons on Amazon, lame.

Dirt Everyday show on Motortrend looks alright, just watched an episode where they fit 35s on a 4wd Isuzu Vehicross...thing is fugly but did really well on the trails they took it on.

Seems worth it for 5 bucks a month, I'll keep it going. Plus they have Mythbusters which I haven't watched in forever

Gotta say I'm pretty impressed with what they were able to do with it with just 35s on and a 2" lift. Thing has tons of ground clearance and a beefy drivetrain

Watching the Landcruiser episode now, looks promising

pfft that battery is less than a year old, still works fine especially now without the metal bracket wreaking havoc on everything

Why’d you get the wrong size anyway?

Sure, to what extent of wiring does it need? I used to make power door retrofit systems to adapt to OEM door harnesses.
