Yeah toaster oven may work as long as it's one of those big fuckers that'll fit the ring gear. Stupid toyota putting the spider gear pin so that you can't get it out without taking the ring gear off.

What temp does the ring gear need to be? We could throw on the ugly drum smoker if it doesn’t need to be a stupid high temp.

 

Just needs to get heated up enough to fall back onto the differential assembly. Also cooling the diff. would help too. That's easy with a cooler and some ice. I will be ordering the locker soon and just need to get it installed before the birthday bash. Want to really make some changes to the truck and really work her out. Tired of feeling like I could do more easily with a few changes but am being held back. It was funny though at MM I showed what open diffs can really do and others just immediately took the bypass or wouldn't even try any paths.

 

We will see. Perhaps Friday we will remove the bed and remove your rear suspension and I can back mine in and we can swap it but I’m more concerned with getting yours done.
