They dull out quick no matter what speed theyre run at imo. I usually just do a swipe with a flap disc instead.

Geez thats tiny. No height adjust aside from the quill? I like the knee mill at work cause I can adjust the height of the table independent from the height of the quill.

 

I’ll probably do that. I just want the holes to look neat.

Also, I’ve been lubing my drill bits with WD-40. Is that a fruitless endeavor?

 

Mr. NASA grade drill press over here. Damn.

 

Sumthin is better than nuthin. But Northern tool sells cutting oil for cheap. Ive used kroil, wd40, gun oil, tap magic, off brand, etc.

Is there like a vice or something I can buy to attach to the work surface to hold whatever I’m drilling? I feel like there’s a better way than using my hands.

The 3rd from the bottom I use the most. The bottom 2 are great for deburring holes. The longer one above the 3 does the same but for reaching through a hole to debur the otherside if you don't have access to it. A uni-bit/step drill with debur a hole quickly too.

Pair of vice grips is most effecient on those small presses. Ive got a small harbor freight drill press vise but its almost too big for a tabletop press.

Yes speed does matter. What size drill bit & what material?

Why can't change the speed. Open up the top cover, move the belt to the other pulleys to change speed.

Guarantee you the plywood is rotten somewhere. They are almost always rotten on these old trailers.

I wouldn’t own one of these older ones unless it’s an Airstream or something with a metal skeleton.

Yeah, the head moves up & down. If I had the space in my garage or a shop I'd have a knee mill also.

 

Oh, is that what that multi-channel pulley is for? Duh!

These are 1/4 inch holes on plain ol’ Steel 1/8 stock.
