Damn, that sucks...this is why I hate people. Glad it didn't turn out worse. Since you have the plate number, isn't there something the cop can do? Hit and run is a pretty serious offense.

From what I understood, in Ohio (where I go to school), the only way he could do something is if I filed it which would put my car under the record of getting in an accident, which was barely that. I have his card so I am going to call him tomorrow to clarify. This happened to me in January but the guy then actually waited for me and his insurance paid to repaint my bumper. This guy today was not the nicest... I was stupid for parking next to him because he was parked like an idiot, didn't think much of it until I saw that note

Seems sketchy to me...if it's a hit and run then you are not at fault, and your insurance should not take a hit for it. Especially since you have the plate number of the person who did it. I am not a lawyer though, so I'll just stay in my lane, shut up, and color. Good luck with whatever you do, and I hope that fucking weak-ass coward gets it back with whatever comes his/her way.

Well from what I got, my insurance wouldnt take a hit, it's just like if I ever wanted to sell my car or anything it would be on record as being in a collision... But I am definitely going to call the cop tomorrow and clarify, because that stuff is not okay and is pretty bad. The damage wasn't bad, but it is not something that people should get away with. I have a buddy who got hit my a car as a kid and the person ran. He was totally fine but his mom made them call the cops and it actually was the 2nd time he hit and ran that same day. My buddy told me that story after I told him.

Part out. But on a real note, It doesnt look bad enough to even worry about. I've got worse from trails. Your gonna change the wheels out anyway right? More of a reason now.

Question, if I'm at tysons corner, I back into someone, and I leave my information, after I call the police, do you really consider that hit and run? I obviously didnt run, and did my due diligence to report. Hitting and running is something I've seen in person, almost killed the girl in the car that got hit as the driver sped through a red light, then ditched the car and ran. Fairfax county had helo looking for the guy. That's for real hit and run.

This? Not so much. I'm not saying it's not a big deal, but it isnt something I personally would waste my time pursuing.

My bedliner cans did the same thing lately ........I heard you can set the cans in warm water right before use and it helps with better spray consistency. Havnt tried it yet though.

The guy who did the hitting didn’t leave the note. A third party witness saw it, and left the note. That’s a hit and run.

@EatSleepTacos what was the battery hold down you recommended to fit w/ the optima?

I'd get you a link but my computer is slow AF right now. It's from off grid engineering. It's two J hooks and an aluminum top for $29
