Yes I know it runs on 12v. I'm saying that it only gets power through a variety of relays being clicked on. Starts at the starter relay, then the efi one. I pulled all the relays and check them and they looked spotless on the inside.

 

Well calling it a night. Don't have tubing to bleed brakes with...of course..so do that in the morning then drive Igor to work on sketchy shocks haha

Why are you posting stuff like this on other forums and not on here?

Several of us have Kings that have had lower spherical bearing issues recently and if Marc hadn't posted his comment, we might never know about what you are dealing with. Post what you have here to so we can all benefit.

Any thoughts other than fuel pump as to why truck won't run? I'm wondering if it's a damn sensor going bad like the cps

 

When you crank does the tach register anything, it should read during cranking if the sensor is good. But I'd just stick a test light on the circuit and verify visually or if you have the tank exposed just have someone crank it while you hold the pump

Actually that's what's been baffling to me. Did not make sound at all. In fact they were squeaky and I'd like them up and it would be quite for a long time. Then..no more squeaks.

Little did I know that meant I was just riding on aluminum at that point haha

 

These lower bearing are not as simple as they look. I went to swap out mine and found it impossible on one side. Like the steel outer race has bonded to the aluminum rod end. Dissimilar metals so I suppose it can happen. I'm guessing that antisieze was not used the last time the bearings were replaced.

 

Little corrosion can seize it up tight. Torch typically cures that, especially if you get it super hot and douse it with penetrating oil (might catch fire but that's part of the fun). Then they come out

 

Yeah, started to do that but my torch ran out of fuel about then. Decided to put it back on the truck minus the snap rings because I mangled those trying to remove them too.

 

It'll be interesting to see what's left of mine haha gonna be an expensive rebuild. But should be worth it.
