Woke up to realizing somehow my oil filter had loosened up after seeing a large puddle right underneath that area. Leaked about a half quart. Guess that was the culprit leaving oil spots on the pavement. Baffled at how it came loose 3k after I put it on.

Most manufacturers have a tag on the diff to tell what it was built with. Even then, that might have been tampered with.

Buy it if it's cheap enough and roll the dice?

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

No... I won't be moving the RTT... And it's no more weight than it is for every 4runner that has an RTT.

So you bought it like that, or had a guy do it?

I am going to start fab on the parts, soon. I want a front receiver hitch on my truck, going to go ahead and design it into/around (what will become) the front spring hanger as well as some radiator protection.

Have you looked on car-parts.com ? Most of those places will ship unless something is just ridiculously unwieldy (and I've seen them ship engines, soooo....)

    A) I ran out of Rust-Oleum self etching primer. So while I was at O'reilly's I bought some Duplicolor self etching... Do yourself a favor and NEVER buy that shit. It didn't adhere at all.

    B) The way the tabs and bushings for the hinges went on, there's only I direction the swing arm can mount up and fit right... Well, turns out we mounted the tire carrier on the wrong side. I cut it off last night, will re-weld tonight.

This is not true, 4runners have rear seats and more metal that keeps the center of mass lower. Its not as simple as just looking at shapes when finding the centroid of an object.

This is my thought. 4runners are built to be more top heavy than a taco.

I will bet you money I have more weight in the bed of my truck than a 4runner has in seats etc.

you are probably right. I dont think you will notice much difference if you lower it some.

Awesome. I plan on making something very similar, but actually bolted to the bed instead of built into the bumper. This way I can always go back to having a tailgate again if I want to.

Lol... I don't even know it's back there.

We're only talking about 116 pounds.

Keep that. The all pro looks sick on the right truck. Works well with yours.

If I ever invest in a plate bumper it will be the Apex. One thing you can do is get a shorter radiator. That way you can remove the radiator protector and get a skid plate to make it all tie in better.

Ran the coax and 4ga yesterday for my CB and second battery setup, both to the area under the toolbox in vicinity of the left side of the bed corner. This will protect the battery from thieves and make use of a more or less useless location in the bed. However, I will probably re-run the coax, as it's about 2' short of making it to my antenna, and I'd rather not have an extension to make the jump if I can do it all with one piece of cable.
Plan to remove the toolbox this evening just enough for me to install the grommet and a couple of Adel clamps to secure the wire.

Depends on the tent, the 2 man tents are only 115 -125 lbs but the 4 or 5 man ones are considerably bigger and heavier
