Maybe my OEM shock bushings should mysteriously shred themselves so I can use it as an excuse for coilovers

I know bushings aren't the same as bearings...

 

If they’re anything like my autozone strut bushing they’re already gone

Well he has barely taken his off-road so I wouldn't bank on his numbers if your actually going to use yours. His is a street queen

 

I like your answer better. My front end is sagging so bad from the extra weight and a lot of cycling off road that the CV's actually angle up towards the wheel/tire. Need to replace them with something soon and your ADS purchase is making me

Hmm, don't think they'd fit all too well...

Nah, just the factory stuff. Fairly impressed at how well the factory stuff does up front. Just too saggy now and of course sucks in whoop sections.

 

Yup, the stock rear suspension didn't last very long at all with the RTT and extra gear on trips. With the AAL and air bumps it's decent now. Still need to get new shocks for the rear since the stocks act like limit straps now with the AAL. The air bumps let me push it a lot more than I probably should, but it's nice and smooth.

Axle hop is something I've been noticing a lot as well, even with the AAL.

 

That was a consideration as well, but I wanted to do something that would be able to carry forward into when leaf spring replacements and shocks become a reality, or if a temporary solution it would not cost a lot.

The bump stops were something I knew I'd get eventually, so they were something that made sense in my mind. At least this way if the rear suspension begins to sag again at least I'm not slamming into the factory bump stops and possibly bending the frame like it felt before I had them.

The AAL was cheap enough that I could justify it as a temporary solution. Plus it didn't raise the rear end so high that it's a stink bug. One day I'd like to get the Deaver expo packs rated for 400-600lbs of additional weight. Hopefully that would be the right range for tent, gear, and the eventual rear bumper.

You know you can't keep that thing boring and stock. I think it's time to consolidate and have a built 3rd gen

 

I will say, I normally don't care for that color but the black wheels make it look much better! Still need to pick up a pro grille too. Just keep finding other things to spend money on.

New tires are something I really want too, but I'm trying to make myself wait until the stocks get shredded or something. Maybe I'll get my wish after this Utah trip

 

Yeah, the colormatch is convenient with that color. Before they offered leather in the non-limited models I really wanting the orange interior scheme. Wouldn't match the grey exterior, but still looks nice imo. Luckily the regular grey dash bezel matches up with my paint color pretty well too, just doesn't pop.

You figure out the fuel pump? EFI relay to Circuit opening relay up under the dash to the left of the steering column.

 

Thats where the "circuit opening relay" is? Cool.

No not home yet. Bought a tube cutter this morning to trim the tank hanger tube to fit the 340LPH pump. Guess this means I have to turbo it now...lol

I'll finish that up when I get home then start putting the tank back in. I'll test to see if the pump is getting power first though.

 

Lol that sound like solid reasoning, can't poke any holes in that.

 

This is out of the 97, so should be the same. My 01 is a smaller black one on the inside fuse panel.
