Does the steering rack need to be pulled in the 2nd gen to get the bolts out? I know it needs to be moved up and out of the way for the 1st gens. The issue with polybushings is they need to be greased or the friction will eat them. A lot of 1st gens ran poly bushings and they failed pretty quick.

Cams seizing is pretty common on 2nd gens.

took mine in for an alignment after I installed 5100's. The tech said that if I went the full 3" he would not have been able to get the alignment correct. My 4Runner has 234K now.

Steering rack gave me a headache on driver side. Pass side was pretty easy since there was enough room to manipulate it since hard lines connect on driver side.

Poly bushings are my only beef with these Solo arms. They’re custom bushings made by someone local to them. OEM bushings won’t fit in the sleeve. Only good thing is poly bushings are ~$60 vs oem bushings at ~$180 last time I checked

Nope we didn't have to mess with the steering rack at all, plenty of room. Poly bushings are what guys like TC, dirt king, and other fancy LCAs use. Like everything else if you don't maintain it then things could get torn up. Worst case you just remove the LCA and pop out the old bushing as they wont stick like the Toyota bushings will.

I have been wanting to do my LCA's ever since I replaced my UCA's and discovered my cam bolts were seized during the alignment. I got my UCA's from JBA Offroad and rumor is he will be making LCA's eventually. I'm thinking his price will be better than the competition because his UCA's are. So far my alignment is fine so no rush and can patiently wait to see what happens.
This is the link to his UCA's and how they compare.

    I love near Berts alignment

I never go to the first meet of the year, always full of idiots and fights.

Berts is the place I would go. Never heard of any issues with them getting it set right. Did they give you are price to replace your LCA? I would use them over 4wheel parts

Anyone interested in taking a trip to Flagpole this Saturday? Want to leave by 5am to meet a group out there. I plan to camp in the bed of my truck Saturday night and head back sometime Sunday

He only loves when he's near Berts alignment. Everywhere else he's an asshole.

yea saw your truck parked, probably was at your house. I'm diggin that soft top.

Berts said they dont do LCA replacements. I'm guessing they're just alignments. 4WP quoted me @ 850, same as dealership, but 4WP told me ahead of time that they do all the lifts and most of the suspension work for that dealership so I'm not surprised the prices match. In order to get dealership to pay half, I'll need a receipt so dunno if doing it myself is going to be the best option either.

Yup that was my house. Thanks I love the Softop too. Bestop makes a good product. I would ask the stealership if they need a labor receipt or just a parts receipt and go from there. Yes that is why I would never buy a pre lifter truck at the stealership cause they use the block lifts done by 4wheel parts

Any of you guys have experience replacing canopy windows? I picked up a used Jeraco that needs half of the sliding side window replaced but they’re out of business.

I’m having trouble finding instructions to take this thing apart and no spare parts online either.

Hello guys, can you do me a favor and keep an eye/ear out for any 2nd gens that might be getting parted out? I'm looking for a center console shift bezel trim cover. Trying to do some little modifications inside the cab. :)

I could definitely do that, once I move down there. That wouldn’t be too difficult.
